Chung Cheng High (Main)
-
I attended the open house today and was impressed with the environment. The school is so spacious and the students speak well. However, I was rather put off by the lengthy presentation by the Principal. A half hour talk became one hour. He just went on and on and the audience became restless. I cannot imagine if he does this on a daily basis during assembly. Last week, I attended Dunman Secondary’s open house and the principal (rather young and very pretty) spoke so well and more importantly, she was focussed and concise. Other than that, CCH is a good school to consider. We drove past Dunman High (can’t go in) and I thought the school looked rather dated.

Hi, I need help , can anyone advise me is Chung Cheng High ( Yishun) a good school in academic and moral??
Regards  -
Both Chung Cheng Main and Chung Cheng Yishun emphasis a lot on moral upbringing aside from academic.

My DS classmates has some that are English speaking but they can adapt to Chung Cheng Main very well. The discipline for Chung Cheng Main is strict. And the teachers are freiendly and approachable. School always work closely with parents and keep parents updated on all activities.
In conclusion, I find it very secure to hand my DS to Chung Cheng Main. It groom the students all rounded. -
The principal introduced the school as the most beautiful school in singapore… Indeed very nice…

The school environment is very nice. But we choose the school more for the program the school can provide.

Can anyone help?My ds is considering coming to Chung Cheng, he loves the environment. However, his Chinese is not strong and I heard that HCL is now compulsory in Sec 1 & 2. Can anyone confirm this and what is the promotion criteria to move up to the next level? Do you have to pass HCL?
Hope someone can help, thanks!
If cannot cope with higer Chineses, can students just take normal Chinese in the school.
I know some SAP allow the option of dropping higher Chinese as the last option. Can anyone privide feedback on this in CCH? Thanks. -

The school will look at the result of HCL at the end of Sec 1 and advise you whether you can take HCL or drop it.
