Hifive:
Hi Hifive,Hi fionong
In my opinion, will go ahead with the Phonics & Reading class. I believe in building strong foundation in the phonics and reading skill as this will help children to read and understand instructions and questions even in Maths.
As for Maths, for the moment, maybe you can teach her on your own by playing games or teaching her concepts with things we use daily, e.g. using coloured paper clips or clothes peg to teach addition and subtraction, etc. You can also get assessment books to let her practise after teaching the concepts.
Thank you for your advise too. :celebrate: -

MMM:
Hi MMM,Personally, I think language is more important at this stage. Good language is required to read and understand maths problem sums.
For maths, you can alternatively get those assessment books and teach her by yourself first. My K1 started Enopi 3 months back and right now, the focus is very much on counting up to 20. Very elementary stuff at this moment that seek to train her on the ability to count correctly and recognise the numbers confidently. Another area is also handwriting. Assessment books can help to address such practise at this point.
Thank you for your advise. -

Hi,

I am not looking for tuition teacher.
You mean there are enrichment school that charge hourly ?titank:
Hi Fion Ong,fionong:
Hi,
I am planning to send my 4yo to enrichment classes (eg. I can read, Berries World, Little Neuro Tree....etc.) However their charges are high, we cannot afford to send her to those \"highly recommanded\" school.
May I know are there any enrichment classes out there whereby their charges are economic with lively teaching methods?
Perhaps you would like to list how much you are going to pay for an hourly class? E.g you are looking at $15/hr, $20/hour. -

RE: All About Preschool Enrichment
Hi autumnbronze,
I'm looking for enrichment classes in the east area. Budget around S$100.00 - S$150.00 per term. Looking for enrichment courses in Speech & Drama, Phonics & Reading, Chinese Read & Write, Art Class.....etc.
Hi kaitlynangelica,
Thanks for your advise. However, CC only accept 5yo and abv.
According to the CC, 4yo can only enrol in TOTS Ballet and Phonic (response quite poor). -
