PollutedS:Yes, I know. but when i type in the login details, it brings me back to the MOE DSA page.
Then I'm not sure why... i tried with DS's PIN and it does bring me to the next page to enter details and then indicate preference... you might want to call your DC's school for assistanceKpjclan:
Hi, need a little help here! When I try logging on to the DSA preference site, it kept bringing me back to the MOE DSA page. How do I come about selecting the schools online with this problem. Please help! :?:
Under the MOE DSA page, in the yellow box there is a link. \"Click here to access the DSA-Sec IS\". Click on the here and it will link you there.

dagong99:Dont think you missed out much... they got 2 groups of students to showcase their projects - one on community/volunteering and the other on science. The highlight was the dialogue session between the principal, the director of Ispark, a yr1 student and his mum and the emcee (yr 3 student), sharing on how it is at HCI from a yr 1 student and parent perspective. Questions were also asked from the floor. Mainly about how the students cope, if they indeed sleep very late because of heavy workload, if they have enough time to eat, CCAs, new HCI facilities coming up and the new MRT station etc...Missed the Symposium last Sat, anything to take note ? Thanks !Kpjclan:
:thankyou:
Agree with you that both are great schools, each with their own strengths, which makes the decision even tougher!
I think academic program-wise, either school DS will be ok... even though he is more inclined towards math and sci.
DS actually kind of made up his mind with NUSH because he loves the fact that there is no major A levels exams :slapshead:
But we went to HCI Symposium and were very impressed with the strong chinese culture and value system inculcated in their boys... which is why DH and myself now are having 2nd thoughts!! That's why I was hoping to hear from some experienced parents if this was part of their's or their DS' considerations
In the end, I think DS likely to win this time round... afterall he is the one who is going to go thru the 6yrs!
DS1 : HCI vs NUSHS, final : NUSHS, why ? Because it's his dream school since P5. During DS1's time, NUSHS is a pretty new school, about 4 years old.
DS2 : HCI vs NUSHS, final : ???, although we know more or less which one  , why ? Because DS2 wants to continue 折磨 his bro, :rotflmao:
The main factors of consideration :
1. HCI A Level vs NUSHS no A Level, you will graduate with NUSH Diploma plus NUSHS is affiliated to NUS
2. NUSHS Module system, same as NUS, accelaration is allowed but I think HCI has Talent Development Programme.
3. HCI more all-rounded vs NUSHS \"skewed\" towards Math & Science
4. NUSHS, you will take triple Sciences from Year 1 - 4 and can continue till Year 6 if you opt for it.
Actually both are great schools and we are really thankful that both schools gave us the opportunity but still we have to make a choice, so other factors come into consideration such as the strength and weaknesses of our boys, their interest and of course, logistics issues

We still haven't made up our minds which one to choose... still swaying between the 2 schools... Anyone has the experience of choosing between HCI and NUSH? Which school did your DS chose in the end? Can share why?

dagong99::thankyou: dagong99Kpjclan:Is the DSA School Preference Exercise starting today? It states 20-24 Oct on MOE website...
Yes, but haven't received the DSA School Preference Form yet, so dun think you can submit now because the DSA-SEC-PIN is on the form. You have up to 3 choices/preferences to enter the 4 digit option code.
