We wish to inform that grading is not based on fixed cut-off marks. It takes into consideration various factors including paper difficulty and the quality of candidatesโ€™ work. Hence we are unable to provide further information on this.

      Thank you for the info.

That's mean if the papers are easy, the cut-off marks will be raised to 97 (just like last year for Maths paper). If such a case, I prefer to say all papers are tough so that the cut-off marks will be lower down. My lame excuse ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sharing the same thots too which I would prefer having the papers to be tough too so that there is alignment to what the schs have been adopting all this while. To get A*, the score must be > 91.

There's too many moving parts to determine the grade now. Math could be raised to 98 to get an A* if overall, assuming the kids perform well in this paper. May prove tough to reach this A*.... ๐Ÿ˜“[/quote]98 to get A*? :yikes: :scared:

    • RE: Where are psle papers kept?

Personally, I just find it a pity that the kids don't get a chance to know where they went wrong, what mistakes they made or how well they wrote a compo etc... so in the end PSLE is really just a grading process, not really a learning process... plus, they never get to question why certain answers are accepted and while some are not!

Sorry if I am a little :offtopic: ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Champion,
Big thank for your past sharing.. Not forgetting those wonderful n beautiful images with motivation wordings.

Here is indeed a beautiful thread for all mummies to share our learning journey together. Unlike other threads where some times you can see/hear volcanos get erupted, here is so comforting n homely.

So, thank you, champion , for starting this thread.

We shall continue our sharing here.. Even our children will enter into e next stage of education. Here is, after all, thread for 2002... So we shall be here n progress as our kids grow n mature.

Yes 2 more to go for ds as well. He kept \"complaining\" that HCL should be before CL so that his friends cannot celebrate before him. Think having 50% of the school celebrating while they still need to sit for HCL doesn't feel good (as usual)...

This weekend???? OMG that's fast. Share your tips when you are back.

DS too, has 2 more to go... I personally thought that they should have arranged for Science paper then the 2 Chinese papers one after the other, so that the kids don't have to keep \"switching modes\"!!

Can't wait too!! 2 more days :rahrah: ๐Ÿ•บ
