What is the difference between META and HA?

Is META a new program?

If I am not wrong, I have been lead to believe that the following is a breakdown of the available

- GEP
- META
- HA (high ability)
- MA
- LA

Crème de la Crème will be the GEP

Is this META program only available in NYPS?


Can’t seem to find anything about it on Google

Would appreciate very much if you can share the experience of your kids in such classes. Do you see any difference in comparison with mainstream HA classes?

At present, I don't see the benefit. All non-core subjects and hoping that the \"magical dust\" will rub off from GEP students to these META students? That's dreaming right?

Or am I wrong to think of META like that?

Agree. I cannot understand why people can drink coffee at $6/$7 a pop. I have the same caffeine fix at $1 a pop or if I'm lucky, I can sometimes even get it for $0.90 a pop ... and it comes served to me at the table with free LCD TV viewing

Interesting that you are using your Genting points to redeem for Star Cruise. I always thought that it would be more worthwhile to change them for room at Gentings itself.

For example, at a hawker centre, when ordering food ... who does the ordering?

I used to think that once we find a seat and sit down, DW will tell me what she wants and I go order/buy and return to the table.

Did this since BF/GF days and continued when we were married. But sometime later, DW tells me ...

\"You sit down, you tell me what you want to eat, I go and get.\"

When I ask her why? Her reply was

\"You know what you want to eat, but I don't. I need to see the food and then decide\"

So from that time on, sometimes I order/buy ... sometimes she order/buy.

But till today, I still feel awkward when she order/buy and I sit there at the table waiting to be served
