Bullies are everywhere; more so in St Stephens and TKPS - please read the forums at Marine Parade/Bedok schools, TKPS and St Stephen. I think your boy being shy and timind will do better in NAPS vs St Stephen and TKPS - where bullies are rampant. Trust me - after reading these forums, you will agre!

Ngee Ann has the best teachers otherwise I wouldnt be transferring my son who is in P3 from TKPS to Ngee Ann. Only disadvantage which I must agree with you is the long hours in Ngee Ann (but hey long hours=more learnings)…

Ngee Ann has been publicised quite heavily these registration- being shown as a good and upcoming promising school by scoops reporters have. They have been shown on Channel News Asia: On The Red Dot Show and Straits Times.
Owing to this - expect fierce competition in NAPS this year…

            joyful22,

Is your child SC or PR?

So far when there’s balloting at NAPS, it’s for >2km.

            Last yr no balloting.

This yr more 2007 kids. I guess you will have better chance if your child is SC.

Monitor the numbers and all the best

              Appreciate your advise!

Yes, I ve heard bullies in boys schools are much more rowdier.
BTW, I am rather curious why NAP is not as popular as the other schools in Marine Parade vicinity. They have good academics and I've also heard pleasant reviews too. They are also major in Chinese; like TaoNan, Kongshan etc. Anyone have any idea?

Oh, can we follow our boy into the school on His 1st day? Can we go to his canteen during his lunch time? Do they have a school orientation before the actual school starts?

BTW, can our kids bring food from home instead of buying food from the sch canteen? I'm afraid He may not have enuf time to eat if He Q to buy food. My boy is a slow eater 🙂 Thanks!

Online registration is today but only 80 schools have this option.

Hi Joyful22, I think you are worrying too much now. Relax, go through the registration first then you start to think of the future. I believed your boy can overcome all your worries. He will learn to be a fast eater if he knows he is slow. Don't worry so much ok. Have faith in him that he can. 😄

                    Dear miu miu,

Thanks for your encouragement. Yes, I think I worried too much 🙂 Being a single mum, so I tends to be over protective sometimes 😞

                        not to worry.

when your boy see his P1 classmates eating fast in school at recess, he'll naturally follow suit. Young kids adapt fast, once they watch and observe how their peers eat at the canteen.
