        Dear Parents,

Brought my 6 yr old daughter to see Dr Goh (Mt Elizabeth).
Dr has recommended to remove her tonsils, adenoids and sinus turbinate surgery for my girl.

Anyone has any feedback on Dr YH Goh or any good ENT to recommend?

        Thanks.
Hi Steven, Dr Goh Yau Hong is pretty sound and is quite popular. : ) Alternatively, try Dr Andrew Loy for a second opinion.

My DD outgrew adenoid even though surgery was recommended by a specialist in private practice.

We found another specialist at Mt Elizebeth who did not think it is necessary and he managed her condition till she outgrew it. He had since retired and we were initially thinking of putting her under either Dr Goh Yau Hong or Dr Andrew Loy as well but did not as it was no longer necessary.

Hi, my son went to see Dr Lynn Lim i chose her since she was specialising in kids tonsils and is often seen in media. she is a very nice and gentle lady. My boy was often down with flu and cough and he couldn’t go swimming, but after removing tonsils, he has been healthy. Its just that it was pretty painful for me as a mum to see my small boy going for surgery.it was done as day surgery and after the op,he did vomit a lot.

                Hi parents

                Need your precious advice here
My son has snoring problem, frequent cough due to mucus & phlegm back flow to throat. Recently brought him to ENT at kkh, doctor advise to have his tonsils & adrenoids removed. His tonsils aren’t enlarge and he has no history of frequent tonsillitis / sore throat. But his adrenoids are slightly larger than normal and hence narrower air way. Was told surgery recovery takes 1 month and 90% of children benefited from surgery. More oxygen leads to longer concentration and will not get tired easily.
I am contemplating if to put him through the surgery.

Any parents whose child has gone through the surgery and you greatly felt that was the best decision?

Or any doctors to recommend for a second opinion?

Not my children but personally had to take out tonsils when I was a child (due to constant infection causing fevers/cough/sore throats). Also went for an op to cut out excessive flesh in the nose to help with breathing (caused poor sleep and snoring)…Personally I felt the tonsil removal helped, but the nose one is still a problem…find it more comfortable breathing through the nose, but that causes snoring.

Hi, my 3yo gal was diagnosed with Tonsillitis and was advised by Dr Dawn Teo @ The Children’s Eye & ENT Centre (Located @ MT E Novena) last year Dec that her Tonsil was huge & big adenoids. She suggest for surgery but right now we are monitoring her condition which seems better early this Jan. But recently, her appetite drop and could hear big breathing and noise from her nostril. She has running nose last friday too and we have being giving her nesenex spray every night. Has anyone heard about Dawn Teo and should I let my gal to go for surgery?
