I went to a shop at Choa Chu Kang MRT station, opposite a cafe joint... I think it was Wang's? Must double check agn when I'm there. Can't remember the shop name off-hand either. Was just fixated on getting my baobei fixed. I decided to try going to a repair shop cause I was almost sure my iPhone has no other problems cept the battery. The touch-screen was still good and sensitive to my touch.. home button still quite tight.. all other phone functions were fine. When he quoted me $70 to which I asked can last for how long and the fella replied 6mths to 2yrs if there is no other issue with the phone... it was an immediate... deal, I'm in! :please:

Hubs did his along a shophouse or something along Waterloo St. Recommended by a colleague whose wife's phone drowned in the toilet bowl. The dead phone was revived with some $150 thereabouts. Hubs' iPhone problem was loose home button, non-responsive touch screen, volume problem.. also tahan quite awhile.

Depending really whether the phone is worth fixing, I say go for it. I'm replying via my iPhone now... in the toilet. ๐Ÿ˜‰

:thankyou: so much for the information.
May make a trip down to CCK soon ๐Ÿ™‚

The shop's name is Yi Yun. ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi, someone that I know dropped her iPhone into toilet bowl. Miraculously iPhone survived. How? First the iPhone was protected with casing so not much water went in. Used hair dryer and towel to dry iPhone after shaking out all the water. Then put in rice bin for a day to absorb moisture. Try this method if anyone of you drop your hp into toilet bowl.

                Thanks sembgal for sharing.

I could testify to the method you mentioned.
Accidentally spilled water over it and saved it by the method you mentioned.
                Cheers.

The rice is thrown away after used, right?

Pack the rice into a container and stuff the iPhone inside. Before putting the lid on it. it. Remember not to use the rice for cooking after that, just discard it away.

GLORYmum, how long did you put yours in the rice?

Sembgal, my ear piece was nearly cleared from moisture after cleaning it carefully with a cotton bud and blower but I still left it in a vacuum of rice overnight for optimal effect.

                      Cheers.

                        Just to share for info:

starhub has this SmartSurf, when my husband renewed his contract, we were given 2 SIM cards. Their usage is tapped to my husbandโ€™s dataplan.
