I went to a shop at Choa Chu Kang MRT station, opposite a cafe joint... I think it was Wang's? Must double check agn when I'm there. Can't remember the shop name off-hand either. Was just fixated on getting my baobei fixed. I decided to try going to a repair shop cause I was almost sure my iPhone has no other problems cept the battery. The touch-screen was still good and sensitive to my touch.. home button still quite tight.. all other phone functions were fine. When he quoted me $70 to which I asked can last for how long and the fella replied 6mths to 2yrs if there is no other issue with the phone... it was an immediate... deal, I'm in! :please:

Hubs did his along a shophouse or something along Waterloo St. Recommended by a colleague whose wife's phone drowned in the toilet bowl. The dead phone was revived with some $150 thereabouts. Hubs' iPhone problem was loose home button, non-responsive touch screen, volume problem.. also tahan quite awhile.

Depending really whether the phone is worth fixing, I say go for it. I'm replying via my iPhone now... in the toilet. πŸ˜‰
:thankyou: so much for the information.
May make a trip down to CCK soon πŸ™‚

I know places like hospital and southern islands can not receive. Even sentosa facing southern island side, starhub cant receive. Singtel can receive.

Anyone of you still on those old 12GB mobile plans? I'm holding onto mine from Starhub... but they refuse to give me LTE on that old plan, which I'm ok with even though I have an LTE phone. But the thing that makes me really mad is how they put those on this plan on such a low priority that I could hardly use mobile broadband when I am in congested areas (eg. Level 3 of Parkway Parade, and in crowded areas in shopping centres).

Have you tried to switch off the LTE?
Like you, I am still holding on to the 12GB data plan, if I don't switch off the LTE on my iPad Mini, the reception drops to non-existent...

I did. No difference for me
I can almost hear greedy hands rubbing and evil sniggering each time I try to use my mobile broadband in shopping centres...

              I am using Starhub now,

only selected places have 4G . Some places btw khatib to Yck, my reception is always cut with starhub 😞
it does not have this problem when i am using Singtel.

Haha... I am  too...... I have all 3 telcos' lines; so far, M1, like Buds' account, is still the best... at least in the crowded Orchard Road/CBD/Holland Road area. (where Singtel sucks!)
M1's download speed is the fastest and consumes least battery.

What I heard is Singtel lost many of its transmission bases mounted on many old condos in D9,10,11 due to rampant en-bloc....and, your Starhub has the most subscribers in our market, those \"kids\" in the East are eating into your entitled bandwidth with their 24/7-online-data-download habit.... (with their 4G+LTE  )

So, Chief, time to switch to M1? πŸ˜‰

Which telco’s LTE service is better? Any feedback from current users?
