hi lovekidsverymuch, so far ok, she would still tie her hair to school because its a must and so far its still straight. Lots of conditioner at the roots after wash and I bought hair mask for her to put on too. Hair mask is just like conditioner but thicker. The only thing for rebond, as we all know, is difficult to dry, hence need to use hair dryer to blow dry for longer period than usual. 😄

i thought after u rebond cannot tie atleast for 1-2 weeks?

My stylist said its ok to tie even the next day, because if their skill and product is good, tie won't affect. Anyway, no choice too, also must tie to school. But so far, ok leh, still nice and straight. 😄

          hi there,

just chance upon your message. I did mine in K1 salon Ang Mo Kio in dec last year and still look straight. It cost me $135 if I am not wrong. You may want to have a try there.

there are so many online group buys offering rebonding services. I just bought one for dd & me for $58 (with treatment). Just google about the service provider to see if there are any good or negative reviews before you make the purchase for a peace of mind.

You can try Supercuts at Compass Point or Nex. They call it \"soft straight\" and gives a natural look. Does not look stiff. Depending on hair texture, it can last about 6 months; may seem a short time, but that's because I have naturally wavy (wild  ) hair and I swim. Otherwise, shd be able to last about 9 months, I think.

Wondering if anyone has tried Komachi Japanese vol straightening? any feedback? Price looks attractive.

Just to share my update.. went Serangoon NEX so just checkout the prices for Rebonding for a few salons..

                    1) Supercuts - about $230 (after 30% discount) for long hair includes haircut
                    2) Hair Inn - $158 (using Loreal pdt) or $188 (using Shiseido) incl haircut
                    3) NK salon - from $130 onwards (based on sign board)
                    4) Kimage $168 (for my length)
                    5) Jean Yip - saw the signboard Silk rebonding $128 (but they told me got promo now) - only $108. Add $10 for haircut.

Was deciding Hair Inn or Jean yip...

In the end, decided to try Jean Yip (tho i tried it stime ago) which i was not too happy with 'assistant' who did the wash & blow.. but price was really attractive.. Moreover the recep ladies were very nice & polite.

Total bill for rebonding $108 (regardless of hair length) + haircut ($10) + 'add on' a protective treatment ($30) for the rebonding = $148 (thought that was still reasonable).

Went with my daughter and we did rebonding together.
Result was good. It's soft bonding, very natural which i like. My daughter was happy with her new hairdo and this is her 1st time doing rebonding 🙂 and lucky thing there's no hard selling (which i read so many bad reviews)

                    😄

How old is yr DD? Thinking of getting my 12 yr old DD to do rebonding as well. Initially I was contemplating for Komachi Japanese vol straightening as well but I hesitated as vol straightening is different from soft rebonding which is more natural.

For Jean Yip, you went over to Nex? Though quite a distance for us from Bt Timah, I think it is still worth the try. Btw, who are the hairstylists that did the rebonding for both of you? Thanks.

At the hair salon that I went, I saw a kid as young as 10 years old. Very tempted to do it on my dd hair.

Mine is not that costly, $120. Doesn't matter the length or any festive season. Price remains the same.

Quality wise, definitely better than some hair salon that charges me $300++. Been with them for quite a number of years. It is lasting too.
6 years old kids with stubborn hair also can do rebonding. Saw before.
