can i know what is allied educator? MOE trained too ?

[Happyparent222]

Hi Sembgal,

I am keen with the Math Olympid does your friend or yourself let your kids attend this training centre?
Knowing how tedious and heavy is the P3 school homework, as much as I would like my kid to have this training, I still need to consider if she got the extra time or not

Hi Happyparent222,

I know of friends who sent their children for Math Olympiad Training as it will increase the chances of their children going to NUS High if they can get gold awards.

My child learns Math Olympiad for her own interest and for personal challenge. The normal classroom Math curriculum lessons have bored her. Math Olympiad helps to sharpen her logical thinking skill. As long as she has the interest to learn, I will let her continue. I do not believe in pushing a child to Math Olympiad Training if the child has no interest. It will kill the child's interest towards Math!

May i know whether anyone know about New South Wales Competition - International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS). If want to see sample questions or papers, where can i get it? What is expected of the child. Thank you.
