can.. dunno why also... cos i tend to hear a few birds outside chirping & then a few units with their light switch on opp my blk (quite glaring), then my neighbour loud sneeze & shower running tells me its ard 5-6am

can say i'm a light sleeper. any 风吹草动, i will be wide awake.

I think after becoming mummies, we all become light sleepers. :dancing:

I became late sleeper (cos that's the only time I can do my own stuff when kids are asleep) and light sleeper (wake up once there is noise from kids). Never can sleep beyond 8.30am in the morning as kids will be pulling me out of bed. 😢 😢 😢 there goes my \"beauty\" sleep and here comes my \"panda\" eyes and wrinkles :frustrated:

 you like to emphasize that parents are wei-da de right? I do agree lah. After being a mummy myself, I appreciate my parents a lot more than before.

            Hi

I am luckier as both my DS and DD1 were toilet trained by my bbsitter..

But it took quite while for ds to be fully trained... dd1 was much faster.. comparatively..

Now, still got 1 more to train.. but bbsitter no longer here to help me.. cos she said she needed a break... thus.. now got to let her train herself.. 😉

Mine is 5 years old and would still sometimes wet the bed.

Once, i told him that if he wet the bed that night, he would have to wear diaper to school the following morning and night.

              He protested and screamed "NO"!

He stayed dry after…! I still constantly remind him that if he wet his bed, diaper is what he is wearing to his school, i am not sure if i am cruel by threatening him like that but this is so far, the most effective way to let him stay dry through out…

Hi I would like to tag on this thread.

Recently I have being training my 4yo girl not to wear diaper at night and occasionally wake up at night to go toilet. However, she gave me this feeling that she is not ready.

1st & 2nd week: she was asked to wake up at about 2am to urine and is able to sleep thru the rest of the night. This happen when she don't drink too much water in the evening. Only 1 time bed-wetting.

Occasionally, she will bed-wetting one or twice on some week.

For the past 2 days, she has being bed-wetting. I wonder if this could due to drinking lots of water in the evening. Her last toilet time was at about 10pm and I tot she could hold on till 1 or 2 am for me to wake her up.

Worst part was I told her to call me if she needs to urine, but she did not. Only 1 time she call out to me but she has already urinated on bed. Even when she has urinated on bed, she don't tell me but slept thru the night with her cold buttock.

I have keep telling her to call me if in need to go toilet but she did not. I asked her can she do it, she say YES but in actual fact is CAN'T.

Somehow I feel that she was not ready to diaper-free.
How should I train her to sleep thru and call me if in need to urine? Please help.....:(:(:(

Why not instead of she calling you, you consistently wake her up at the same time every day to make it a habit for her to go to the toilet?

I did. The 1st 2 week called her up at about 2am. Then this week goes haywire. Before 2am she has already urinated.

After reading some thread here on bed-wetting, I think I should make a point to wake her up at 12am should be the safe timing.

For the time being, since you are still training her, why not still put her in training pants at night. You still continue with what you are doing, waking her up to pee but at least if there’s any accident, she will not be sleeping in pee soaked pjs.

When you see that her training pants are consistently dry in the morning, then try removing it for the night.

Limit her fluid intakes in the evenings. Even things like soup and very juicy fruits like watermelon.

This thread brings back those hilarious memories of finding urine in the toys drawer (those Toyoyo 3 tiers plastic drawers) or on the floor the next morning
