thank you! so I'll just have to wait till 2nd aug.. gd luck! :imcool:isya:
may I know how's the result later?I mean after today we have to wait till 2nd aug for the results which they will tell which school will need balloting is it?so if yes,on 3rd August is the balloting day and they will call u personally on that day itself whether u r successful or not?or only those not successful will b contacted? so those not called r the successful ones so just wait for the letter is it??hope somebody can clarify.thx :imdrowning:
For phase 2B the result was out on the same day on the MOE website( last day of application). by result, I mean which schools will need to ballot and within which distance category. I think the same will apply to phase 2C.
You should know based on your distance if you are in the ballot. The date and time of ballot was already given at registration. Hope this helps. Wishing you and everyone else on this forum all the best. -

we can go to the school to see their balloting?hmmm...so scary...hahah... :slapshead:
Yes, you are allowed to witness the balloting and yes, it will be :scared: . -

For balloting, during P1 Registration :chongster:
Out of curiosity , the balloting is computer ballot, or lucky draw box style? If the latter, do parents go fish out a number, or do principal or someone fish out the lucky winners?
How Long does the process take?
Balloting is not computerised balloting but like Toto, where a VIP (school staff, not parents) gets invited to go up the stage to turn & spin the golden cage very, very fast, then the ball that drop out of the cage (bearing a registration number, written on the ball itself ) belonging to that lucky child, gets balloted in.
Meanwhile, parents seated below the stage, nervous & praying very hard each time one ball roll out of the cage, their heart beat very fast : hoping that the ball belong to their child.
Those balls that remain inside the golden cage, din roll out : unlucky
Whole process last how long :
will depend on how many students are balloting.
More students, involved : longer time, to ballot
But for Secondary 1 Admission into popular Secondary schools, where your child (born 2010) is the 2ND batch to come under new AL Psle Banding system :
Yes, this is by computerised balloting, for P6 students sitting for psle 2022. By then, your child will be in P6.
Many thanks, phtthp for the detailed and informative answer! -

The issue is when you don't get balloted in, you will be kicking yourself and asking yourself questions like I should have tried this school B instead and also wondering what options you have left. -
Anderson Primary School for SC more than 2km, is there a chance? Anyone can advise or update?

One more thing you missed out.
1 ballot ball => twin/triplets => 2 or 3 places gone.
\t
For the purpose of balloting in the Primary One (P1) Registration Exercise, siblings/twins/triplets of the same citizenship will be treated as one group.
All the children will share the same ballot number. In this case, if the ballot number is picked, all the children will be admitted to the school.
1 more hour to go. Good luck, peeps! :rahrah: -
Good luck to all!!!!

Less than an hour to go. Good luck to all

Some parents dare not even open their eyes, they just shut their eyes, keep praying in their hearts, their ears sharp & alert concentrating to hear what is the ball number being called out (announced) loudly, after it just roll out of the cage

Hmmm... but for those like myself who applied online, how would I know what's my registration number?
