Thanks. All MCQs too for maths? My girl is weaker in English, so as expected, she finds the Maths paper easier than English.FantasyLandDreams:

My friend with a son in GEP P4 this year told me her son also did not complete all the maths questions in round 1 of Math GEP screening test last year. Her son still can move on to round 2 and pass it.
Today Math test is 1hr 30 mins, after English paper 1h 15 mins. There was recess break in between. -
The only feedback I can get is that math more difficult…expected also. No idea what sort of question. No time to check. Not easy to even get through first round I guess.

First Comprehension passage was about a girl who couldn’t read and needs the help of 2 teachers to overcome her reading problem. Eventually the girl managed to read. I think the story is about a girl who has dyslexia.
Second Comprehension passage was about the history of Leonardo Da Vinci, the artist who drew Mona Lisa. -
DD said English was easy. Then told me what she answered for Qn 1. Wrong! :rotflmao: She also said math was hard

my ds said his compre passages are about monkeys and homework, totally different from your dd. so there is more than one set of paper....? :roll:First Comprehension passage was about a girl who couldn't read and needs the help of 2 teachers to overcome her reading problem. They used different booklet, for Round 1 and for Round 2.
Even within the same primary school, P3 students in different classes are given different booklet. That’s why some students English compreh passage is on Mona Lisa, another P3 student’s passage is about monkey.
Because different booklet used, Maths questions also different.
Not standardise the same booklet thoughout all P3 students.
Whichever booklet been used :
all pupils given the same amount of time, for eng (1 hr 15 min) and for Maths (1 hr 30 min)
Since all of them using different booklet, that’s why some kids say they find English more difficult, while another kid may say they find Maths more difficult.
Quite a number of girls had opted out of Gep test today, in her school. -

Indeed there are 2 sets of test papers for English.
