2020 P1 Registration Exercise for 2021 In-take

I am not an ex student of SCGS that’s why I can only go for phase 2A2.
But for the other school, I can apply at phase 2A1, so was thinking if I should take the chance at SCGS

If you are not an ex student, how are you eligible for P2A2? Teacher / a child that has already grad from the school?

If that’s the case, I believe you should know the school well enough to decide whether it’s suitable.

Since both are quite safe, you should consider the distance other than the academic aspect of the school.

How to even fight with 80hours ?

my cousin-in-law is in the SHHK grp. she join ard 2013 and clock over 400hours. (reg in 2017 for 2018 P1)
according to her info...
before the start of 2b, SHHK will see the no. of Vacancies left over from 2A2.
then they will decide how many letters, will be issued based on Seniority & also length of hours.

maybe you can verify this info and update us.

Yes it’s true. Eg there’s 42 vacancies at TNS 2B this year, so Shhk release 42 letters only & the rest of competition would be GRL
Meaning to say, if there are 43 Shhk members going for TNS this year, 42 already clock at least 82 hours & min 2yr membership, the no43 person in the q who clock 81 hours will not get the letter.

And yes, there are people in the chatgroup who didn’t get letters. So 80hour is just a base, most people clock more than 100

What are the criteria to be recommended for Phase 2B registration?
For members whose membership application were approved before or on 6 December 2017
- Complete a minimum eighty [80] volunteer service hours with or through SHHK

What are the criteria to be recommended for Phase 2B registration?
A committee will be formed to review all applications nearer the date of registration.
Evaluation will be based on guidelines set by this committee and on a case-by-case basis according to its merit. One of the determining factors is tenure of membership.

There is no mention of this selection committee from 2019 onward

Anyway it’s almost impossible to even snag slots to clock hours. Apparently fingers have to be faster than 1min

Chongfu's parent volunteer application is now open, until 31 Oct 2018.

Download and complete it and either snail mail to the school or scan and email it back. Selection process is quite competitive so all the best!

Hong Wen School already 4 times oversubscribe for the dragon year. With the new BTO St George Tower TOP early next year which added 734 units, it will be a more competitive year for my horse boy.

Information is for 2013 babies... but based on the stated dates ... 2014 babies should open now for application.

Thanks aloyboy. So if cannot get the PV then need to move house? Cos only got Bendemeer and Hong Wen within 1Km
