2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

If phase 2CS is unsuccessful .. there will be a assisted placement program by MOE where you can choose 3 schools (those that still have vacancies) .. SC will surely get a seat before phase 3 which is for foreigners.

Sannnz, Will still suggest that you go down physically to the school of your choice on last day of registration to see the odds. If it's really heavily oversubscribed, not sure if you will still want to take the risk of balloting or maybe choose a school that is 1-2km away. After phase 2Cs, it will be up to MOE allocation based on schools that still have leftover seats (you can rank preferences) and which might be further from your home than what you had expected.
Best of luck nevertheless!
Taking tt leave just to wait ard to w/draw if oversubscribed & run to ano to me is not giving yourself that ballot-in chance & the next sch is not exactly your choice school, so not much diff to check for next nearest allocation.
North Vista is the only school left within my 1km radius and if I give up without a fight (touch wood; hope not) then I am depriving my son of that last chance.
But may I ask (again touch wood) for phase 3 can I request moe to allocate my son to my 3rd choice if there is still vacancy, or will they assign randomly?[/quote] -
Any reviews on Farrer Park primary school?

The allocation is the same method whether 2CS or 2C or 2B or 2A1 or 2A2. SCs have priority over PRs. If there are more SC applicants than vacancies, the priority is based on distance. If all SC get in, the distance priority will be applied to PR.
If the school you have in mind is within the range (< 1km or 1-2 km) of another school with overflow from 2C, you need to do your calculations and weigh if you have any chances, especially since you are outside 2km. You might not have a chance to even ballot. It would be safer to go for a school with at least 100 vacancies, and which has a lesser hinterland (so as to reduce the chance of large overflow from the popular schools). Such is the situation for numerous folks in Tampines.Mich1502:
For 2C Sup do they allocate based on distance. If they do, then it is going to be very worrying because all the schools left are 2km away from my home.

In previous dragon years, primary schools were still running double sessions. Most popular schools increased their intake by 1 class or so to cater for the dragon year. Unfortunately for this year, most primary schools are running single sessions and face physical constraints to increase their cohort size. Most popular schools are probably maxed out. This was confirmed by the school admin of nearby schools. Only those schools that are relatively new with spare capacity or those that had reduced intake over the years were able to increase a class or two.
Popular schools not only refer to top schools or branded schools. They may just be the neighbourhood schools next to your place, which have gained a reputation over the years and hence are more popular than other neighbourhood schools further away.
My observation of our neighbourhood is that there just aren’t enough vacancies < 1km left after the large number of phase 1 siblings. My sympathies are with the 200 overflow from 2C. Everyone wants to go to the schools nearby, who wouldn’t. -
Anyone saved the final day 2C vacancies vs application number (or APP TUR %) before MOE deleted?

Can't sleep.....

All the best to those who are going through 2C Sup registration this week. May all go smoothly and well…

popular schools like southview, rulang, pei hwa, keming, nan hua are located within neighbourhood. the last dragon year registration in 2006 had 1 additional class to cater for this bumper crop. even when son entered secondary school, there were additional classes added for sec 1.In previous dragon years, primary schools were still running double sessions.
