        me: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
        Poor you.

I think kids nowadays think that when their parents run out of money, all we need to do is go to the machines and \"TU\" the money will come out and not run out 😐

          Another one.

Just 2 weeks after she started her P1.....

dd: One of my classmate's dad is a doctor, can earn a lot of money. Why didn't u work a doctor?
me: Oh, that bcos i didn't work hard enough when i was young. So i can't be a doctor. If u want to be a doctor u should work hard.

1 week later..... she was doing her maths homework at home ....

dd: Oh, i can't do this maths question, i think i cannot be a doctor. I think can only work as a xxxxx like you.
          me: :x :x :x :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: 😢 😢 😢

Looks like in kids’ eyes now, parents will be looked upon as their heros only if you acn earn $$$$$$$$$$. Sad or not huh?

                ESSAY FROM A CHILD

A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write a essay about
what they would like God to do for them...

At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made
her very emotional. Her husband, that had just walked in saw her crying
                and asked her:

                - What happened?

                She answered

                - Read this. It's one of my student's essays

Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a
television. I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house. Have
my own special place, And have my family around ME.

To be taken seriously when I talk.... I want to be the centre of attention
and be heard without interruptions or questions. I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working.

Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired.

And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of
ignoring me... And... I want my brothers to fight to be with me... I
want to feel that family just leaves everything aside, every now and
then, just to spend some time with me.

And last but not least make it that I can make them all happy and entertain them...

Lord I don't ask you for much... I just want to live like every TV

At that moment the husband said: - 'My God, poor kid. What horrible
                parents!

She looked up at him and said: - 'That essay is our son's !

                Moral of the story:

Very often we criticize others for not doing enough.

It is very easy to see the mistakes of others but very very difficult to
                see our own.

Are we doing enough for our own children?

IMHO.. This is not necessarily true... it really depends on the emphasis we put on $$$ when we are talking to the children..

Very nice story RRMummy.. I too sometimes feel due to our busy schedule we hardly have time for our kids then slowly when they grow up we miss the time we couldnt spent 😞

Ya found it nice and though it would be a good sharing..

Yup.. my guilt as a FTWM is always always there.. but whatado..only way I could is give 100% of my time besides office hour to them..

🙏 I will never see a similar essay from my gals.. 🙏
