E3, I didn't know about this until I read what you wrote. Just asked DD about it and she said she knew about it long ago... Oh dear, what have I been doing whole of last year?
Yes, the kids are supposed to write book reviews and submit them to the FTs. My dd's P2 FT gave them several templates for them to fill in their book reviews. The child can redeem a free storybook from the library for every 6 book reviews that he/she had completed. All these book reviews will be consolidated at the end of the year. The book reviews need not be on books borrowed from the school library.php:
2) There is a library period per week and kids are encourage to borrow books from the library.
3) A badge is given to the kid as a reward for reading a certain no of books....
Thank goodness we have KSP forum and thank goodness I stopped working recently. At least I am more in touch with DD's work now.

So you pple still can't get the word \"Charity\" off from your brain....hahaha......
My Gal's Teacher Started it First!
SomeHow the Message is MUCH More Effective than to Say Resilience 10 ....
ALL of Us Will PAUSE and Start Counting on Our Fingers ....
Is that the TOP Class .... Or Is it the Non-SEEDED Class????

so only PH's teachers, parents and students understand this word.....[/quote]Not So \"Classified\" Secret -la!
Am SURE ALL Students, Teachers, Parents KNOW It on 1st Day of School, If Not Before!!!!
Guess It Will Have to Take A Few \"Generation\" of P1 to Erase this from PH's Lingo ....

Reading is one important part in learning languages...how can the school be so kind to the P1 kids liked what our brother markfch thought, right?
Anyway I asked that qn cos I wanted to gauge what std is PH expecting for P1 students. -
markfch:
Near end of T1 or beginning of T2, the kids will have to go through the reading test....using the test result as a guide, you can choose those books that are near to your ds's reading level....
