bebebub:
thanks for sharing bebebub.. DH is not keen in driving. My then 5-year old didn't enjoy the helicopter ride when I took her on a flight over Frasers' Island in Qld. think kids at this age cannot appreciate the so called \"scenery\" like adults. Some pilots may not take kids under a certain age.
We had taken dd on numerous road trips, but she still ended up with motion sickness when we drove from Geelong to the Great Ocean Road, ending at Warmambool. Again, the beautiful scenery that adults enjoy didn't appeal to her. If u want to make the trip, I would suggest that you allow more time and take numerous rest stops to break the monotony for the kids which means you might consider spending a nite somewhere instead of making it a day trip. Due to the winding coastal road, speed is limited and therefore it takes a longer time to arrive at the lookout point for the 12 Apostles (left with 8 now). We opt to take the inland route on our return journey to Melbourne. Cuts down the time required by almost half. -
Has anyone try the hot air balloon in Melbourne- 1 located in Mel city and the other in Yarra Valley? Is it value for money as it costs $350 for 1 hr flight per adult and $285 for kid?

How to do that ? u contact one of the listed travel agent? -
You can do so. I contacted my travel agent at UOB Travel. There isn’t any diff. in pricing only on the service they provide.

Yarra valley definitely, it has a stunning view of rolling hills and vineyards even it's a road trip. Summer is a great time to take one of these hot air balloon rides as the skies will be clear n te weather mild. Hope you're able to get tix!
