          Another qns

          Ms Lee buys some sweets.
If she gives each pupil 5 sweets, she is left with 16 sweets.
If she gives each pupil 8 sweets, she is short of 5 sweets.
How many pupils does Miss Lee have?

          Thanks!!

            Between case 1 and 2

the no of excess sweets each pupil gets = 8-5 = 3

This excess is provided by the 16 extra in case 1
            and the 5 short in case 2 = 16+5= 21

            therefore, No of pupil = 21 divided by 3 = 7

            Hope my explanation is clear

                    Hi parents,

This question may be asked before but how do I teach my kid on long division with missing digit?

                    Example : 8_3 / 5 - 168 R3

How do i arrive at the answer for the blank?

How do i arrive at the answer for the blank?
                      Is that 8_3/5=168R3
                      168 is the quotient
                      3 is the remainder
                      168*5=840
                      840+3=843
                      so the answer is 4

Oh!! Thanks! Thanks! Another question, for P3 Level is it usually just to find 1 missing digit? Will the kid be tested on 2 missing digit instead of 1?
