        Hi micollh!

I thk you can either take it neat or add some water.
Some KSP (in "manuka honey" thread) gave their kids neat
Depends on individuals… i tried on my kids, tooo sweet for them… So i add alittle water to make sure they finish all.

          friends,

Is it okay to let a Primary school boy to take vitamin C tablets every morning? Are there any things to watch out for and any good brands to recommend?

It’s said that Manuka should not be diluted and no water to be consumed for at least 20 mins after taking Manuka. For us, the Manuka from Hock Hua has been most effective but with the new packaging, not sure if content is equally potent as before. For children older than 3yo, UFM 10 is best for daily intake. UFM5 has negligible anti-bacterial effect, IMHO.

Elderberry is another effective remedy for flu and cough. I usually boil thyme with rock sugar and add smashed garlic is symptoms are severe.

Vit c can start before pro school rite? My youngest used to take while in kindy. I was told that 100mg/day is sufficient but the Kordel’s brand (with the Mickey mouse face) has a higher dosage.

I also give cod liver oil in the morning. This helps my older son who is prone to wheezing cough due to allergies. CLO has been v effective in stopping such coughs almost immediately.

Hello all.. I'm new here & am 1st time mummy.. 🙂

Few mths ago, my son has been coughing for weeks... Went to PD, spent alot of $$$ also no cure... 😞
My MIL said buy some pearl powder for him to eat. After 2 to 3 doses, he recovers...
But my sis told me that boys cant eat too much pearl powder, cos it will make them weaker.. but girls no problem..
Is that true? Im a little worried..

My friend who had cough for weeks tried this Silver solution Supplement and got well just after 2 times… apparently its selling in Taka basement where they are selling the M I air cleaner.

I have used the gel before and it’s very good because Silver is anti microbial and in this product they use food grade gel with nano silver and so its perfectly safe for my children. I have a tube in each of my bags…

Yup! My son is in Primary 5 this year. Been getting him those chewy Vitamin C since mid last year to take every morning. You can get it from Guardian/Watson. :rahrah:

I dunno whether is there a placebo effect but I notice he has less runny nose in the morning. :scared:

Both DDs are taking vit c, multi vit n calcium chewable tablets every morning. So far so good, even whn having runny, it will recover pretty soon. CNY both ate their 1-yr amount of snacks n so far still ok. :xedfingers:
