the oral conversation for english oral. When is her happy moments... and she mentioned about her visit to universal studio...lol... for chinese oral conversation.. about the school rules.

Actually my dd say that the conversation can use 1/3 of all the ideas. The feelings are either angry/sad/happy. Mostly nothing else

did the examiner prompt u abt other than places of interest, when u r happy with yr friend?

my son talked about how he did not do well for his exams last lear but i did not scold him, therefore he was relieved and happy. All a lie, when he did not do well, i scolded him very badly. Btw his question was what made you happy.

You do see the reason why SEAB makes the question for conversation not directly related to the picture. It is to prevent us from using ideas in the picture!!! We shouldn’t actually blame them instead of sulking that our efforts gone to waste. I am a student myself and I feel that the questions still have a relationship there but it is mostly unpredictable. No one can be a 100% sure what the questions are.

However hard it may be, we must still be prepared to change strategies in the crux of the situation and expose ourselves to a wide variety of topics. I wish you and/or your kids all the best for tomorrow

Today's English oral was pretty hard. Reading was okay. In the picture there's a lady buying fish balls on a stick, boy crying because his balloon burst and a student is giving another one to him. 😓 At the other side there's a man taking cookies after donating some money. Conversation was extremely easy! :cheeky: They asked about an event hosted by our school. At least it's the last oral examination in Primary School. :rahrah:

The conversation topic is about an activity you have participated. As the picture consist of some charity drive..my DS had came up with only 1 idea...he said that school had hosted a charity drive :slapshead: Not sure if the examiners might think he has ran out of ideas..

Happy moment can be a wide topic. The kids can talk about birthday party, won a writing competition, visit to Disneyland or Universal Studio. Maybe today topic is easier for him - school activity. Not all kid's remember their happy moments or they might take these moments for granted.

According to my son, the man is buying the cookies. They are selling cookies to raise fund for the charity. My son said the crying boy has lost his parents. He was holding a stick of food. The student saw him crying & gave him a ballon. Same picture might mean different things to different kids. Wonder how the examiner grade the kids.
