I see Dr Georgette Chan at Mt Elizabeth, she is really wonderful and performed a surgery on me with great results!

Is her clinic at Mt E? If so, I have seen her. She was recommended by my gynae when I had a lump a few years ago. She was gentle and made me feel comfortable. I did a mammogram as well. However I later went on to KKH breast centre instead because private specialists' charges are too high.

Besides the specialists, are there any good female GPs who can do a competent initial breast exam (feel for any lumps)?

KKH breast centre told me to approach any polyclinic or GP first then get a referral if I want a detailed screening.

No pain etc but just being kiasu…

Just to share, sometimes the "pain" (if coming from deep inside the breast, near the ribs etc) can be due to GERD - gastric reflux. I had that type of fleeting pain and even went for ultrasound, ECG for heart etc. Turned out it was GERD.

But get your breasts checked anyway once in 2 years. You need a mammogram if above 40yo.

A nice female GP that I have come across is Dr Carol Lim of First Medical at Sterling Road. But you would need to check her consultation hours because some sessions are run by another doctor. She did my first ever pap smear, and after so many years and 2 children later, I still go back to her for pap smear because I feel most comfortable with her. :imanangel:
