DDs’ daily pocket money is $2 a day and $4 if they have CCA in the afternoon.

they dont tend to spend everything and save 1/2 of it. sometimes, they used their pocket money for pencil lead or exercise books, they will inform me to "Expense"

        toddles:
        huh?? eraser dust??

what is that used for? what is the attractiveness/currency in that these days??
my boy's classmates collects broken pencil leads (not mechanical pencil type).
my blur boy broke all his pencils/color pencils for 2 consecutive days to help his friend add to his collection before I confronted him and made him promised not to do so anymore.

I gave my P1 girl $2 knowing that her food in her school cost $1 for main with fruit (ie. noodles with orange, rice with apple) & $0.60 for drink.

In the begining, I told her she can have cold drink once a week. But after week 2 she has been a very good girl. Not spending on drink. So everyday she will have $1 to save.
On days that she wanted to have sushi we will gave her $3 as sushi cost $1 for 3pieces(Not filling) so we let her upsize to $2 for 6pieces.

Ya, my son collects pencil leads. I hope it wasn't your son's pencils that he had them from! πŸ˜‚ I will find containers of pencil leads in his bag, and loose ones in his pockets. Once my laundry turned purple from the purple pencil leads in his pocket! :faint:

i told my boy that it is ok if he pass those 'naturally' broken leads to his friend. but forcefully breaking these pencils....my concern is that stray leads may fly into his eyes or those around him...severe cases led to blindness - i am paranoid, you see.
after making him see my point and also getting him to sharpen all his pencils/colourpencils to my satisfaction, he stopped being a 'supplier'. πŸ˜‰

i gave my kids when they were P1, the max would be $2. I dont really encourage them to buy drinks as they have their water bottles.
