      huh?? eraser dust??

what is that used for? what is the attractiveness/currency in that these days??

my boy's classmates collects broken pencil leads (not mechanical pencil type).
my blur boy broke all his pencils/color pencils for 2 consecutive days to help his friend add to his collection before I confronted him and made him promised not to do so anymore.

What a trend! for kids nowadays?
What is the purpose of the dust & leads??? :?

I gave my P1 girl $2 knowing that her food in her school cost $1 for main with fruit (ie. noodles with orange, rice with apple) & $0.60 for drink.

In the begining, I told her she can have cold drink once a week. But after week 2 she has been a very good girl. Not spending on drink. So everyday she will have $1 to save.
On days that she wanted to have sushi we will gave her $3 as sushi cost $1 for 3pieces(Not filling) so we let her upsize to $2 for 6pieces.

Ya, my son collects pencil leads. I hope it wasn't your son's pencils that he had them from! πŸ˜‚ I will find containers of pencil leads in his bag, and loose ones in his pockets. Once my laundry turned purple from the purple pencil leads in his pocket! :faint:

i told my boy that it is ok if he pass those 'naturally' broken leads to his friend. but forcefully breaking these pencils....my concern is that stray leads may fly into his eyes or those around him...severe cases led to blindness - i am paranoid, you see.
after making him see my point and also getting him to sharpen all his pencils/colourpencils to my satisfaction, he stopped being a 'supplier'. πŸ˜‰

i gave my kids when they were P1, the max would be $2. I dont really encourage them to buy drinks as they have their water bottles.

I give DS $15 a week. He's in p4. That works out to be $3 a day. Same as what I was given...26 years ago :yikes: If there is extra lesson, I give another $2 for his lunch.

He seems to be managing his finances very well. We just banked in the coins he saved last 1.5 years and it came out to be $220!!!

Since P1 to P5, we gave our son $2 daily and $4 if he has to stay back in school in the afternoon. In P6, he requested an increase of $1 because he has a bigger appetite now. So, his pocket money is $3 per day.

When he was P2, sometimes he did not spend his pocket money at all and went hungry in school because he wants to save his money. So, we told him that if he spends at least $0.80 in the canteen, we will pay him back $1. It was a weird arrangement but since then he re-started buying food from canteen again as he can get more money from us. The arrangement has stopped now. I think he forgot all about it.

By the way, we put a stack of $2 notes in a box and he can access it anytime to get his pocket money. We would like to teach him about trust.
