I am thinking of enroling my daughter to ballet class. She has always shows interest in it. She is 6 turning 7 this year (Primary 1). We ever tried letting her try before but she was very timid and cried throughout the lessons. We gathered she is not suitable to be taught my caucasians and class mainly comprises of caucasians. This is also the case when she tried Speech and Drama class.

She has no problem attending classes with locals as I found out with different enrichment class she attended. My conclusion is that we asians are more protective to our kids, and as such resulted in kids being more clingy and less open to new environment if being left alone in a new place. This is what my daughter is.

As such, I have yet to find her a good ballet school that is taught by locals and attended by local kids. I stay at Queenstown and hope to find a ballet class/school that is not so far away.

Any suggestions?

Yes, still need to wear panty first, then wear tights, then leotard.


Btw, is there any good ballet school in Bedok, katong or marine parade ? Tq.

Usually teachers disallow panties during exams… Other days, no issue. They do have ballet panties if you want.

I just wear tights and leo. No undergarments.
