Gang members definitely don't want their pictures taken...but victim is not part of the gang...he was killed by them. Let's hope police is able to round up the remaining 5 killers.
let no speculate, police will do the job....
may be gang members do not want their pictures takenverykiasu2010:
I think the family is grieving and not in the mood to chase reporters away...besides reporters are not taking pics near the family.
If reporters didn't do their job, will Singaporeans know who are the cruel murderers of the victim ? We won't get to see their faces on the front page of ST today.
probably lots of CID people at the funeral too -
Hi php,
It sounds cruel to say this…but the friends of the victim don’t look that innocent…if you know what I mean. Violence is not accepted, esp where gangs are concerned. We definitely do not want 369 or other triad groups walking around. Hope something is done about this. -
It seems speculations going on...

Six students have been hospitalised after suffering injuries from yet another gang-related slashing incident.
Seven youths brandishing chopping knives went on a slashing rampage at Bukit Panjang, around 10pm on Monday night. -

we never know, may just be a tactic to revenge by faking 369… at the same time stir up tension between PHT and 369.
SPF need a special taskforce liao…
Keep your kids home, don’t pray pray… -
wonder how many sch kids are recruited into secret societies nowadays… in schs/shopping malls/arcades… and with parents who r bz working… dunno who their kids hand out with… and schs with limited authorities to punish kids… and police taking a reactive approach…
recipe for total chaos… :x :x :x :x :x -
I understand that most of these thugs like to hang around in LAN shops & billiard centres. My friend & I have this policy to ensure that our house are stuffed with computer games/ESPN sports channels so that our kids don’t need to venture outside into LAN shops/pubs for entertainment in future.
-
I hope the courts will award a series of what may seem to be excessively harsh deterrent sentences to those found guilty of such violent acts.
Sorry if I sound like some cold high-handed politician, which I’m not.
I’m saying this because the public must be protected from such mindless violence.
How can Singapore become a place where parents worry about their children’s safety in public places?
I cannot accept this situation. :x -

My colis discussed the same thing yesterday over lunch.
One of them has a DS that didn't do too well for his exams, regardless she got him what he wanted for the holidays i.e. Wii and his favorite games; in the hopes that he will stay home and play. -

There is no excuse nor reason for senseless violent acts. -

I don’t understand this ‘staring issue’ but then with troublemakers aka triad groups, this is an excuse to start a fight.
Singapore is known for its safe environment, but it doesn’t seem to be so with this brainless murder and other problems with an increased population.
In primary school, we can still keep the kids at home, but not possible at sec or poly/JC. I sure hope there will be more plain clothes police around, not just at Downtown East but other areas too…these thugs are all over Singapore. :x -
Terrible to hear of more cases… What is Singapore coming to???
Had this conversation with my sil who has a 18 yr old. The advice they dish out to him is :
* Don’t kaypoh. If you see people with tattoo, don’t keep looking. Don’t even look.
* Don’t take a 2nd look at people’s girlfriend where she is pretty or dressing in a outrageous manner. Just mind your own biz.
* Don’t be a hero. Look at the situation and even if it means you are not “righteous”, just leave it… I am not sure about this. But as a parent, we also don’t want any harm to happen on our kid.
