Cutting carbs is the fastest way to lose weight but neither good nor viable in the long run. I tried not taking any carbs for a week but gave up in the end; I love my rice and bread and pasta too much!!!

I agree coz I have seen friends lose weight by reducing carbo intake.

But like you, I love my rice/noodles too much ... so now, I do the next best thing, exercise (3-4 times a week).

Carbo intake can be for early part of the day when activity level is higher. Then refrain from carbo for dinner. It helps.

What is important is to lose Fats and not water or muscles.

It is also important that the fats loss doesn't rebound or are gain back easily.

Usually the instructors will tell you to avoid some aasanas for those with knee pain. Or show some variations that can minimise impact on knee.
