But acsj has balloted in phase 2c within 1km first time in history last year.
The break down for last year 2012 intake in phase2c within 1km as follows:
ACS junior 64 vacancies : 76 applicants
ACS primary. 24 vacancies : 29 applicants
Both ACS need to be balloted.
Yes. But ACSJ has a better chance in terms of higher vacancy. Less risky than ACSP. You still need to see the # instead of got ballot no ballot history. This year you may never know because we are all basing on historical trend. -

Yup, you are right! But the success rate for both school in term of percentage is is almost the same, 80% for last year.
I hope that it'll be different this year. -

Hi, just asking for some opinions: my dad and bro and uncles are all from ACS(J) and my hubs is from ACS§. I have grown up with the ACS Junior in my life…but now deciding for my son I am confused as to whether Pri or Jnr would be a better choice…aside from the Phases of entry, can anyone throw some light on the + and - of each school?
Much appreciated!! -

If you are using your hub's link with the school and apply in P2A, u only have 1 choice, ie, ACSP...or unless u were somehow from ACSJ !!!!(Hi, just asking for some opinions: my dad and bro and uncles are all from ACS(J) and my hubs is from ACS(P). Hi, Actually you do not have to worry which is the better ACS. This is because both are affilated to ACS independant. So if your son gets into ACS junior or ACS primary he will stand equal chance to get into ACS independant and ACS Barker.
You can compare the PSLE results of both ACS primary and junior to decide which is better academically. But do take note that ACS primary offers the GEP programme as such their good results include a handful of Singapore’s top cohort. On the contrary, ACS junior has only mainstream students (no GEP programme). This means that ACS primary may be better as the results includes the GEP students. Discounting the results of the GEP students, their results could be on par. (I think)
If you are looking at a particular sports, you can surf the school’s webpage.
For comparison other than quantitative acheivement like academic and sports, you will have to speak to students/parents from the 2 schools.
But you have a good problem to begin with…cause both are great Christian schools. -
Hi mummies…if given a choice which school will you choose?
ACS junior or River Valley Pri…
Kindly advise… and the reason…
