Yes, we parents should write in to appeal, for average of the cohort to be released. This is the barest minimum info , all parents have to know.
If mean score of cohort low - indicate test paper set may be tough.
If mean score of cohort high - indicate test paper set may be easy.
Thus, many pupils do well.
If mean score high yet my child’s score is below average by a lot -
Means my kid doesn’t understand or din grasp fundamental concepts, parent have to help child identify which parts she weak in, or don’t understand ?
Example
P3 science if test paper is on diversity & my child score way below the average / mean of cohort, which part is my child weak in ? Got to narrow down, zoom into the spot. Is it bec she don’t understand what are the characteristics of plants & animal kingdom, or she doesn’t know how to apply the concept to Compare the characteristics of different type of plants species or diff type of animals ? When u go thru yr child’s science test paper, you can tell. -
Hi may I have some recommendation which after-school student care centres around Bt Timah do most RPGs girls go ? Thanks.
-
At the moment, there is no after school care in Rgps.
But some parents had proposed to principal to consider opening a new after school care centre in 2016, after our school go single session. -

Can seek your guidance as to what is the right way to approach the school? Right now i just know the topical test marks my girl got, but I seriously don't know how she fares among her peers. It's just a number by itself which tells nothingYes, we parents should write in to appeal, for average of the cohort to be released. This is the barest minimum info , all parents have to know.

Just got my dd science paper with only her result on it.From there it is just number and it tell nothing from the number.
I can’t even feedback the result to the tutor.
I think I will write to the form teacher regarding this matter first. -
By the way RGPS parents, I wrote to the principal regarding average scores to be released, maybe more parents can write in it’ll lend more support. One voice they may not hear or take me seriously.
Honestly, I’m not being kiasu or what, just that at least I know what to expect and not get a rude shock when I get report bk. More to moderate my expectations of DD.
I dont see how hiding the average scores can help reduce stress. For me, the unknown creates more anxiety and stress. Don’t know where my daughter stands.
Hope more parents can email to principal -

Yes, it's the right way to write to Principle. my DD's FT told them, some parents wrote to her about the ave marks issue; she told girls that she can do nothing because it's the decision of school...By the way RGPS parents, I wrote to the principal regarding average scores to be released, maybe more parents can write in it'll lend more support. I’ve also written to the principal. Waiting to see her response.

What do other parents think of the SAI exam timetable. I don’t know why they cram Sci and Maths on the same week and listening compre on the next week. I think it is better that listening compre be changed to either Sci or Math so the girls hv more time to study.
