cherrygal: Hi Duriz,
With Dr Ferber's sleep time adjustment technique, I successfully trained DD to sleep through from 11pm to 8am, without night feeds. It is tougher on us coz we need to play or carry her till quite late but at least we don't need to wake up in the middle of the night. My SIL's baby sleeps from 7pm to 7am (waking up for night feeds) but some say she's lucky coz she doesn't need to play with him and can have free time after 7pm. It depends on what you consider precious... free time for yourself earlier or undisrupted beauty sleep. I am still awake at 2am as I start my \"me time\" at 11pm... hahaha
Thanks cherrygal. :celebrate:
I prefer DD to sleep at 9pm.
She only has one nap in the day, anytime from 1-4pm, for about 2 hours.
By 8pm, she's very tired and cranky.
So we start her bedtime routine, warm bath, brush teeth, bedtime story, hugs and kisses, nursing then zzzz for me and her, no later than 9.30pm.
Then DH is free to watch cable tv or surf the internet.
As I get up at 7am to prepare to go to work, this is a good schedule for us. And I think good for her when she starts school as well.
