VitoRelax, have you tried Wagon Wheel at Greenwood? Walked past that day n saw that steak was $13+. Sounds like Aston prices but ambience is better… At least there’s aircond

    • RE: Hwa Chong Institution (High School)

Regarding laptops, the iSpark director told us that the boys don’t need laptops n computer gaming has often become a big issue so told us to monitor time spent on the computer.

    • RE: Looking for a good optometrist

My sons had glasses fitted at Alan once but their range is limited so we’ve moved to Mee Mee at Bukt Timah plaza. Wider range and staff are very friendly. We see David Chong who’s very qualified n experienced n very friendly too. David’s the president of the Singapore Optometric Association.

    • RE: Teeth Grinding

I wear a custom fitted splint when I sleep cos I grind. It’s made of extremely hard plastic n it clinks in pretty securely so it would be pretty hard for it to come loose in the mouth during sleep. You can get a mould done by a dentist n have one made for you. I’m not sure how old a child must be before he can wear one but I’m getting my 14 yo one soon. If you’re an adult, I’d advise you to get one before you grind your teeth down to the dentine. A good dentist would notice wear and advise making a splint.

Alamak, hung up the bike after 3,000km. Plse try to make a come back, cycling is good for oldies like us (like me I mean). No pounding, no impact.

I'm going thru this crazy period of bicycle-craze. Bought my son a Trek, bought my wife a Trek, and now shopping for my daughter. My case, is sure MLC . . . .
      became kiasi that's why...:-)

    • RE: All About Ordering Birthday Cakes

I love Lana but it’s become really expensive- like over $30 for a small loaf of pound cake. Vicky’s cake has also shrunk tremendously. Awfully Chocolate’s is a tad too dry. Maybe that’s why I haven’t had chocolate cake in a while…

    • RE: Good food at Bukit Timah?

There was an offer once half price for takeaway fish n chips on Mondays. I’m not sure if that’s still av. Sashimi n oysters are very good! Tues nights used to be oyster nights again not sure if that’s still the case.

Meat lovers should go for the churascaria at Donna Camelia at the opposite corner from the fish market near the coffee shop. $39 for adults n $22 for 4-12. Believe that’s only for dinner tho. Was there last night with 2 of my boys n the 12 year old who paid the least ate the most!!

Ya, it's ok not bad but nothing like Jiang Nan Chun or Hua Ting. I'd go broke if I brought my 3 young men to these places so they'll just have to settle for Zi Yean till they can earn their own keep haha!

      Did you try dragon phoenix?

      where's this?
