    • RE: Does Organic Juice Sold in Slimming Centres Really Work?

Maybe intially yes, as it could serve a purpose to detox but not for long term result. Overall, exercise and balanced diet is the way to go.

    • RE: Cruelty Towards Animals

sorry, help to up this thread again. But another case for another dog, Butters.

      http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sgseen/caught_in_the_act/410716/woman_whacks_dog_on_head_repeatedly.html

Hope you could do a part to sign up this petition to save Butters.
      http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/savebutters/

      Extracted from the site:
\"On the 10th July 2010, a video of a woman beating her pet dog on the head with a wooden broom was uploaded on to Youtube. It have since
created a huge uproar from netizens.

In it, the woman is seen yelling at the dog for chewing on a cushion.
She repeatedly strikes the dog on the head forcefully, causing the dog
to shriek in pain. The dog tries to escape but has nowhere to run as it
      is cornered against a wall.

We are doing our part to hope to save Butters out of the house and firm action against the woman. SPCA and AVA have stepped in and are investigating this case. However, SPCA revealed that they have no power to prosecute the culprit. We hereby would like to appeal to AVA to update us on the investigation and take firm actions against the woman and bring Butters out of the house.\"

Please help to save animals against cruelty and abuse.

    • RE: How do you get a 4 year old to do homework?

okay, this can be really headache sometimes. I faced it for my child as well. Tell her to do her homework, it will never get into her head. faint And give excuses this and that. Sometimes reward may help. Sometimes scolding help. Lol.

    • RE: How to work with shy children

I think alot of encouragement is needed and patient. Don’t reprimand him or her, cos she may take it to hard and it will be harder to work on it. There are couple of ways, such as informal activity like letting your child to socialise with one or two kids. Like a buddy team. So things could work out mutually. Also maybe get him or her to involve more of her interest or activity (like any sports or anything) to develop their confidence as well.

    • RE: How long does your kids' school shoes last?

For my kid, the shoes can last about 4 to 6 months. Consider not bad, as sometimes she can be quite rough, and clumsy (didn’t watch wear she is walking or stepping on). =.=
