wah, where is this $3.80 place? My son was warned last month when hair touched ear… His hair (like mine) grows very quickly. So if got cheap place, would be good...

New station charges $2 on weekdays and $3 for weekends for members. I think 1 yr membership is $10. Go google for the branches all over singapore.

    • RE: how to slim down

Congrats! it's really not easy to down 10 kg in 8 mths. πŸ˜“ I've been exercising 2 or 3 times a week + weekend marketing errands but not able to slim down - just merely maintaining my weight. I think it's mainly due to my diet.

It can certainly be done. Good to invest in a digital weighing machine. Every 0.1 or 0.2 kg reduction would spur me on. And if there in any slight increase, I will exercise more the next time. My weight does fluctuate plus minus 0.5 kg every week, but over the long run it goes down. I find it easy to reduce 0.5 kg every week initially. But in recent months, I am contend with reducing 0.5 kg every month.

      Good luck with your slimming!

    • RE: how to slim down

Agree with scang, there is no need to fork out a huge sum for slimming. I have shared the following in another thread:

Seriously there is no need to go slimming centre. Exercise, cutting down on junk food are the key. I hit 68.x kg in Feb this year (before that for the last 10 years my weight was hovering around 64-67 kg) and I was determined to lose weight.

Since end Feb this year, I have been doing the following:
      1) Go gym 5 times a week, each time 45 mins to 1 hour. I engage in not so strenuous exercise eg walk (not jog or run) treadmill, cycle on stationary bike. I will watch videos on my iPad while exercising so that it is not so boring.
      2) Cut down on junk food. I still eat them, but restrict myself e.g a small piece of chocolate, small cup of ice cream, small pack of potato chips.
      3) Eat 80-90% full per meal. I will ask for less rice if eating outside, or if at home, take half bowl of rice. Meat, vege and fruits I eat as per normal.

Today (7 months later), my weight is 59.8 kg. My target weight is 58 kg, I should be able to achieve it in another 1-2 mths.

    • RE: Networking Group - JCs General

Those who qualify to take H3 typically take 1 H3 and 4 H2.

There are students who choose to take 2 H3, 3 H2 and 1 H1. (Taking 2 H3 and 4 H2 requires MOE approval, and is reserved for very top students)

      In my opinion, 1 H3 4 H2 > 2 H3 3 H2 1 H1

    • RE: DSA 2014

I know last year a boy tried DSA 4 schools, and got 3 COs, was rejected by one. He is the 1st of a MS primary in SA1 and a TOP 20 in SMOPS.

The boy had to cost much time, money, and energy to prepare the DSAs, and had to give up preparing the SMO.

His T-score of PSLE is 263+2, so he actually can enter RI, HCI, NUSH, and others by T-score. πŸ˜‚

I will hazard a guess, your boy?
