Checked with SCGS and this year have 55 vacancies for Phase 2C and today already 61 applications but 54 within 1 km! Looks like this year even within 1 km also need to ballot! Going to break the P1 Registration record for SCGS where historically within 1 km is always 100% safe. :x

RE: [Bukit Timah] Primary Schools
Does anyone know about BT. Timah Primary School? Is it a good school? How about the culture of the school?
Thanks in advance! -
RE: [Novena] Primary Schools
It appeared that more and more people are living within 1 km to ACS nowsaday as compared to previous years. It used to have balloting within 1-2km in phase 2B but not anymore now.
I wonder why?
I wonder how many of these are genuinely living within 1km vacinity.
Similar to SCGS, I would expect there will be a drop in application for people are living within 1 km especially when the birthrate is one of the lowest for that year cohort..
I trust the MOE and schools will do the necessary check in order to be fair to those who are genuinely staying near to schools.BigDevil:
ACS (Primary) update:
There will be NO balloting for phase 2B (according to ACS website http://www.anglochineseprimary.net/) as the number of applicants staying within 1km is exactly the same as the number of vacancies (26). -
RE: All About Primary Schools' Balloting History
Can anyone here help?
Am currently under a lot stress and can't go to sleep now.
If I fail at the 2C (within 1km) balloting (still 1 week to go..), can I register in other school and ballot for 2C (1-2km)? If yes, How should I go about to register since the registration for 2C is over..... Help me understand this. Thank you very much :?: :?: :?: -
RE: 2009 P1 Registration Exercise for 2010 In-Take
Is it possible to know the number of students who are currently staying within 1km during last day 's registration? Will the school tell us? This information will be very helpful to gauge our chance and decide if we still want to carry on..........:?: :?: :?:

Ummm... would it not be a bit too early to say CONFIRMED balloting...radiantmum:
Hi anxious parents,
Phase 2B end of day 1 results already released on MOE website. Following schools confirmed balloting required
Aitong
Catholic
MGS
ACS Junior
Southview Primary
ACS
St Hilda's
1. There could be people who drop off by the next day.
2. Some higher priority buckets may just take up exactly the number of places available, so no balloting at all.
That said, it still doesn't look too good for parents hoping to escape balloting for those schools, especially if they stay beyond 1km.
