Hihi, has anyone sent their kids to Jiang's compo writing holiday courses before? Is it good?

If not holiday classes, how do the regular 3-hour classes prepare your child for chinese compo writing? Is it effective?

      Thanks very much! 🙂

        June holidays are coming.

I find that my child’s teacher always keep reminding us to sign up for June holiday class.

        My qn is :
is it necessary ? if regular class next trimester term 3 and 4 going to cover or teach, then won’t be necc, right ? Those holiday classes not cheap

I never sent my boy to their holiday programs. Finds it too long. Also very costly.

Phew! His chinese teacher didn't give any pressure.

Agreed the holiday classess are not cheap.

I suppose the regular 3 hr lesson should be sufficent.

My boy wants to go to the holiday classes. Yes, they are not cheap. But he said that he learn to read lots of books (provided by the school), the content is also explained to make him answer correctly for this higher Chinese comprehension.

The holiday courses to me are slightly different from the main courses. They covered more widely on things that your child is weak in.

One thing bad about Jiang is that they are very good at pushing holiday classes & collecting payments. I normally don't sign up the holiday classes.

We are staying in Sengkang & it is very inconvenience to travel there everyday to attend the classes during school holidays. These classes supposed to bring in extra revenue for the centre & maximize the usage of classroom & teachers.

Saw that they offer extra lesson for P6 student for free at counter ? Anyone knows if there any "hidden" agenda behind. They are known for ex and push very hard for holiday program. The teacher kept bugging me and my DS to enrol.

Just ignore them. Jiang normally collects school fee 2 months in advance. We are asked for pay for next term (July - Nov) school fee in April. But I only intend to pay them next week, which is the last lesson for this term. Tell the teacher that you are not free to bring your child there during holidays & she will stop bugging you.

                      Yes, agree with u.

I only pay School fees for next new trimester (ie. for term 3 & 4) on the last lesson of current term, ie. week 20.

                      For existing students :-
ensure that you pay school fees before the first lesson commence in next new term3. Otherwise, once the first lesson started and you come and make payment, Jiang enrichment centre will charge you registration fees again.

                        Dear All,

Anybody has experience with the bilingual class ? I was encouraged to opt for this class rather than the 3 hours jing ying.

Pls provide your honest feedback asap. TIA
