Hi i3mum
Yes, my DD has just completed her JMC and we started JXC last week. In JXC, there is no need to choose between piano or keyboard yet. -

Hihi, any response? I am also interested to know. -
Hi,
My boy learn piano for the last two yrs since K1. Anybody heard abt SUZUKI METHOD. Wish to change to tranditional method? Any problem? Pls advice.
He still under Grade 1, consider very...slow... :stupid:
The teacher very mind abt brushing the key, positions... :?: -
my dd was with JMC for 6 months and i stopped due to my house relocation. Approached a traditional piano school in bukit timah and I am glad that I stopped her JMC class. she was playing solfege all the time (based on her memory) instead of reading notes. It kinda slowed down her progress initially but she has made the transition well to traditional piano class. For my younger ds, i will not go to JMC anymore but will just start with traditional piano.

Suzuki method is very much about drilling and repetition, same thing over and over again (I suppose like Kumon). It’s good for those who need things to be repeated over and over in order to remember and register. It has, however, nothing to do with position, "brushing the keys" which I think you mean piano touch, that would be something the teacher is placing emphasis on.

Hi,
please advise! my boy is doing YJC year 2 book 4 and i have a few questions here.
1) Is it a norm for the teacher to introduce a new piece of music a week?
Even if the children have not master the earlier pieces ?
2) Should i enrol him to 1 to 1 piano class if my boy concentration level
is relatively low?
Thanks
