Singapore is well prepared for 2012. There is a ship on the very top of MBS. The only problem is that it has no engine and is stuck to the roof. Maybe there is a secret catch that can release the ship when the time comes.

Is this true or from a movie ? When was this being announced? Some students feel that this being so there is no point study, just enjoy life for the rest of their time, so gaming, shoping, ... How to tell them that is is not true? but but where is the source...?

We can't tell for sure if it's true or not.

But so what if the world ends at 2012?
Anyone can die tomorrow, touch wood...

The key thing is to live each day as if it's your last. Not literally, but in the sense of working towards your relationships and other aspects in life with a clear sense of purpose.

So when the world ends in 2012 or tomorrow, one can leave in peace, knowing that one has left a positive legacy, even if it's a temporary one.

As for students, it's a lame excuse not to study. You can tell them, if they play all day, there would be consequences they have to face way way before 2012, and chances are that the consequences wouldn't be pleasant.

if world going to end...so wonder how 'horribly' will we suffer and die..flying all over the space? ....drown in water?..how to save my children?....

the thought of it is ..horri gi ble... :scared:
If the world is going to end one day, it would be most likely due to the nuclear war between two countries, eg. India and Pakistan, Iran and Israel.

The smoke generated would cloud our atmosphere for a couple of months, and that's enough to wipe out humans like dinosaurs..

We won't fly over space, that's for sure.. If the earth cracks up, there would be no more atmosphere, and surface temperatures will drop rapidly, and that will consume us.. don't think we have a chance to fly through space..

Don't worry too much... chances are that the earth's not going to crack up though...

As for the possibility of nuclear war, leave it to the world leaders to sort it out...

In the meantime, just live life happily as a mortal should, and continue to love your children, as you have always done. That would make a difference to their lives, whether the world is going to end or not in 2012.

maybe it's not the end of the world, but the end of the world, as we know it. Our world, to us, has been clean and green, and smooth sailing, but maybe in 2012, our world will end, AS WE KNOW IT RIGHT NOW), not forever.....

Maybe it will be our minds. I mean, maybe our minds will all receive a piece of knowledge that will CHANGE OUR WORLD forever, and there again comes the point of the as we know it thing.

What do ya guys think??? šŸ˜‰

Our earth is absolutely not forever unless everyone in the world do something about it in time. Like Al Gore said long ago, that sea level will rise, land will reduce, shores will erode. As a matter of fact, it is already happening every minute, since decades, possibly even longer.

Are we waiting for another big bang? I wonder if our bones will be the fossils of the next new generation of a universe.

Anyone can guess when is the end of the world? At the rate that we are wasting earth's resources. Maybe in 20 or 30 years, the world map will be different.

my guess is the human race will end,(dunno when, but not before PSLE results are announced)
                  but mother Earth will remain,
and she will take her own sweet time to recover,
                  from the mess we created.

The funny thing is, we humans keep wondering when the world will end without realizing that WE will end as a species and disappear from the face of the Earth long before it turns into a barren rock or gets swallowed up by the sun. History has shown how time and again, the most successful species of its time will wane and die off, or simply evolve into something completely different. Dinosaurs have not completely died off... they still remain, but as a much more docile species - the birds. With all the genetic engineering, radiation and other stuff that is going on, we should be wondering what we as humans would be evolving into.
