I noticed that since my 7-yo dd kept long hair, she has hair fall problem. I think it’s due to the pulling of hair and tying it for that few hours in school. Since she still has healthy looking hair, I was not too concerned.

My daughter also used to have this experienced of losing hair at young age. Her hair will fall everytime when i combed her hair gently. She has straight , thin and slightly brownish hair. She looked sick having long hair. So i would cut her hair at shoulder length and tried not to wash her hair often.

We faced the same problem when my daughter is 1.5 - 2 yrs old. Now she is coming to 3 years old and seems like the problem is gone

Maybe like what other people said, it is due to medicine? She fell since every month when she is 1yrs - 2yrs old. Now body is stronger and didn’t fall sick so often. Maybe that explains

But it is always prudence to go for a checkout?

Thanks every one for you tips…

Yes I went and saw the GP first and took her yesterday.
He checked for bald patches. height weight etc… and said its a part of the growing up process. different children have different problems. etc. but he asked me to watch her if I am worried and also weather she develops other symptoms like losing weight, lose of appetite etc. Then I have to do a Blood tests to rule out the major illnesses.

he also asked me to add lots of fruit and veggies etc. etc. to her diet. as usual…

and he also asked me to change any mild shampoo for her…

I experimented with a few shampoo brands and finally settled for one when I noticed some improvement.

Hi emerald can I ask you what shampoo is that? I think I might switch back to J & J baby shampoo

                It could be hormonal.

Did you bring her to see a doctor? How long has this been? My DD also had their hair fall off when they were younger, when I checked with the doctor, it was because they had a high fever not long before, probably they took some medication, and the hair start falling off after that. But it grew again.

I would advise you to see a doctor.
commonly when they took some antibiotics these may happen.

Should send your daughter for a thorough medical checkup. Perhaps you may want to add in vit supplements, there are some reputable brands of multivitamins for kids in the market.Try to massage your daughter’s scalp to enhance the blood circulation and throughflow of the ‘qi’ within the scalp.
