Or it could be the lack of nutrients (skipping lunch). I remember a ex colleague who was on diet was also tired, then the pharmacist tell her cos she lack energy from vitamin B(something) due to her dieting.

        beanstalk:
Did they check his thyroid levels during the medical?

He could have an underactive thryoid: http://www.bupa.co.uk/individuals/health-information/directory/u/underactive-thyroid

It's relatively simple to treat if so.
        :rahrah: beanstalk,

i will get it from him and check.. but besides being tired, he does not have other symptoms of thyroid as stated in e website leh.. so i doubt.. 😉

          Sun_2010:
I think like beanstalk suggested a trip to the endocrinologist may help check if it is a hormonal issue...

Any possibility of depresssion or GAD (General anxiety disorder) ?
          hi Sun_2010,

he's not one to have depression or GAD from wat i know him..

Has he tried american ginseng before? Can try those american ginseng in capsule form and take 2 in the morning daily.

If you think that he also need to take multi-vitamins since he skips meal at time, you can also consider multivitamins mix with american ginseng. Just take 1 capsule daily. Quite effective. I recommended to someone before and very positive feedback.

Am getting a picture that your DH needs to want to get out of this cycle more than you before anything would work…

Can ask how old is your DH and whether he is overweight?

Age - Men will also get menopause, so not sure if he is of that age? A severe drop in Testosterone I think may cause lethargy.

Overweight - As posted above, sleep apnea? He may not be getting quality sleep.

In any case, better to get a doc to check it out.

My DH is above 25 yrs old and is considered slim..

                    wats quality sleep?

Hmm >25 yrs of age implies he can be 26 - 99yrs old :faint:

Some people sleep but do not feel rested or their sleep may be interrrupted... For me, the minimum hours of sleep I require in order for me to function fairly normally is abt 5hrs... Anything less than that, my mood and disposition the next day will be affected.

its gd that u noe how much sleep u require... if only my DH also knows his den he wont be so tired already. no matter he sleeps less or more than 8 hrs, he is still tired... :faint:
