In-law problems?

My SILs and MIL don't know how to appreciate good mooncakes. They go for quantity in lieu of quality. I brought a $50 mooncakes (4 pcs in a box) for them once and they commented that the mooncakes tasted the same as those made by my MIL :!: My MIL's mooncakes have thick snowskin and taste below average. Therefore, I have stopped buying mooncakes for them ever since. My DH will just give his mother a $50 red packet instead. However this year we will be getting them mooncakes from Bengawan Solo as we need to clear some left over vouchers.....haha....guess what....my DH agree to my suggestion! I still have not decide what mooncakes to buy for my parent but will be something nice. Am I being bad? Who cares!!!

You are very lucky!Wow! I count myself lucky so far. Mil stays with me and helps me with most of the housework (changing bedsheets (mine!!), light mopping and sweeping etc).
Of cos there are still things that i have to do on a daily basis, (aka, the laundry, ironing etc.)
So far, no quarrels with her (after 3 yrs of staying together) and we all can get along quite ok. Maybe cos both of us generally quite chin chye!
I must thank my lucky stars.

Since your MIL doesn't go for quality and willing to settle for anything, why don't you get her Bengawan Solo since hubby also agrees. -

I think thats wat MrsAng saying that this time she will buy her MIL mooncakes from there :P[/quote]Mrs Ang, I don't think you are bad lah. Since your MIL doesn't go for any brand, it's ok. I tried East Ocean, it's not bad. Or else you can get Maxim which is yummy too.janet_lee88:

No problem. I love the scent of the East Ocean snowskin mooncakes. The yam ones are not bad either.

When I think of Mummy buds

Hehee.. i find the above quote so cute. :please:Haiz, motherhood really isn't for sissies.
Aniwaes, even if there are moms who may have started out
as softies, i'm sure it only makes them stronger and tougher..
and more thick skinned as the years of \"experience\" go by..
Dealing with ILs can be worse than politics. Worst is.. not many
candidates to vote for aniwaes when you look at it.
