DesertWind, i agree with you that at least, my son is close to his ah-ma rather than a maid. Previously when i just started going back to work, i only bring him home on Friday nights and will bring him back to my MIL's on Monday mornings. Thou i visit him every night after work, everytime i leave my MIL's place, my heart feels very heavy & guilty.


It's been 3 weeks since i've returned to work but i miss him more and more. So yesterday & today, i brought my son home, thou i'll need to carry him on my own and take bus to my MIL's at 6.30am. But i think my MIL is secretly relieved ah, because my son is not easy BUT, i also feel abit guilty dragging my son here and there in the wee hours of the morning. My Fridays-Sundays are totally devoted to my son ah. Really hope my son will prefer me instead of his ah-ma because he is now the love of my life!

Luvkid, must be super hectic, fetching him everyday after work! At night also cannot rest...My son cries alot and his cries peaked when he was 8 weeks old. So i extended my maternity leave for another 2 weeks because i saw my MIL getting so impatient with him, keep shaking him harder and harder. Now that my son doesn't cry so much, she feels less stressed now. Thou i appreciate her willingness to help (she offered to take care of my son during weekday nights as well because she knows i have to take a bus to her place), i cannot help but feel bu fang xin after witnessing her shake my son.

Hmmm. A lady called me the very next day after i sent them an email. She also emailed me pretty detailed information about their timetable, extra programmes and the fees. After that, another lady called on the same day to arrange a time with me for viewing their centre. But the centre i've emailed is the one at Arena, not sure about other centres. Am viewing the place tomorrow...

SPIES, i'm talking about childcare. Opps, pardon me, didn't occur to me that the fees are applicable to kindergarten *blur* I saw on the government website that PCF Ayer Rajah takes in children 18 months and above but did not come across any reviews or comments on this branch. Me, another FTWM reporting here! My son is 12 weeks+ old. Now actively looking around for a suitable childcare centre for him. I’ve emailed the centre at Biopolis to make an appointment to view the place but it seems like the principal is on leave. Am wondering if LV allows trial lessons? Intially, i contacted the centre at MOE then realised it’s only for MOE staff. So the principal suggested Biopolis…

I'll be viewing the one at Arena soon as i live at the Jurong West extension area. After reading all the comments here, i'm now worried :slapshead: Will feedback here when i'm done viewing the place. The fees are really very expensive so my expectations are higher too.

Hi people, am new here! Now looking for a childcare centre for my boy and after surfing around, saw this PCF Ayer Rajah. Seems like they can take in 18month old kids. Any parents have kids at this branch? Fees is $590 with GST excluding subsidy. I thought most PCFs charge around $150. Would appreciate any advice! Actually, i still cannot decide whether to send my boy to a mainstream or a montessori centre. Both have their pros and cons and i’m trying to keep an open mind here…

Denbel, i'm visiting the centre too this coming weekend. Where else have you shortlisted? I'll be visiting the one at Chervons as well. Need a centre that's located along the way from my home to my workplace because it is quite impossible for me to reach my home by 7pm! I've spoken to Andy as well and he did sound very nice. Did he mention if we can have trial classes? I'll certainly be dropping by again on a weekday to observe how the teachers interact with the children...
