DD12 attends group Maths tuition. Some students will arrive late and their mothers expect the tuition timing to end late since start late. The tutor is good so we are continuing. Bad luck to meet inconsiderate parents.

      Dear Sel69,

http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php gives you an idea of the dates out.

You can book FPP at check in date. System will not recognise and cannot determine when you will visit the parks. So you will be able to book FPP on your check in date.

      Regards.

Sorry dear, you can't do that for character meals as they are buffets. You cannot have 4 people and only paying 3 buffets. You can only do that at ala carte restaurants.

      Oh, blur me
      Dnls_mum:
If you do have a child under the child dining plan, note that they do not differentiate the child and adult counter service credits and you can use all your credits including the child entitlement on adult meals. Don't have to buy the limited unappetizing Mac and cheese or chicken nuggets for the kids. Just make sure that if your card says 3 adult and 1 child, don't order 4 adult meals. Most of the time the staff don't bother but you never know when someone will disallow you to order 4. A second person can always go get the 4th meal. Most of the time the set portions are so huge, we share our food.
Ermm...I was confused after reading the above. For ala carte restaurants, means I can order 3 adult meals for 4 of us ? And only 3 credit table service required ?

Yes you can specify who is using a dining credit and who is paying cash as long as it is not a buffet. So you can order 2 adult meals to share with 2 kids and order eg a soup or appetizer (paying with cash)

      Dear Dnls_mum,

No offence at all. I am totally cool about this. You are the guru here!
I did say it is my own opinion only. We will just eat what we like and pay for the snack OOP. Its really just a few dollars each snack. We are not really meat eaters. I think I will like TREX too. In fact, I booked a dinner and a lunch the next day before MVMCP at 4pm. Heehee.

      Dear Sel69,

You can use this to plan if your dining is worth it. The table allows you to calculate the cost for the meals.

This is the menu for different restaurants
      http://allears.net/dining/menu

Search for the restaurants that are still available during your stay. There ARE still plenty of restaurants but the more popular characters dinings at ideal timing are gone now. For Fantasmic Package in Dec, limited package avail - only dinner at Mama Melrose is available as Fantasmic has only 1 show @ 6.30pm.

its just my opinion, my opinion only.

If you are not getting the dining plan for FREE, then you should just pay OOP (out of pocket).

In your case, you will be getting 4 adults dining package. It is likely to cost almost $ 58-$60 per adult. So its $240 USD up front. Some combo meals at counter service can be shared and cost just $ 15. Dont forget the dining plan does not include tax and gratuity. Of course if you are going to EAT YOUR WAY through this trip, then buy it. Then you must make sure you order the more expensive dishes to make your dining plan more worth it.

The dining plan does not include appetizer or alcoholic drink. If you order appetizer or wine, you need to pay this out of pocket on top of your credit for the meal.

      Hi Sel69,

Cabana Bay Resort doesnt have unlimited express pass.

Its my 1st time to Orlando. I have 2 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 HS and 1 AK. I added extra night for Mickey’s Very Merry Cristmas Party.

Where did you get the promotion information? I didnt see any. Is it directly from Disney?

      Hi Sel69,

if you are going to Universal Studio, you may want to consider staying on-site deluxe stay. Besides early entry, staying onsite will give you UNLIMITED express pass. That itself is worth the weight in gold.

Port Orleans French Quarter is currently being upgraded. So it is possible to get queen beds room in Dec.

A few websites you may find useful for planning this trip -

      http://allears.net/index.html
      http://blog.touringplans.com/ (needs to pay subscription)
      http://www.mousesavers.com/
      http://www.easywdw.com

For park tickets, you can consider buying from undercover tourists. Please subscribe to mousesavers to get the tickets. UT does not ship tickets to Singapore but you can opt for UPS pick up counter near Universal Studios.

Good luck on planning your sit down dining. If you want to eat at popular restaurants, you may want to book it now!

Never heard of hehuansan. How many days are you spending in Taiwan?

      xzizi:

Anyone been to hehuansan 合欢山? Is it children friendly?
My kids r 5 n 3yr old. Would like to visit in Feb but worried kids cannot tahan the mountain rd, wind n cold weather.

Hehuansan is probably an hr ride from Cingjing. From Cingjing , we went Hehuanshan before reaching Taroko Gorge/Hualien.

We went from normal jeans and winderbreaker at Cingjing to full winter gear at Hehuanshan in Dec. My other family kids vomitted several times during the journey in the van. The views were beautiful but we only stayed 30min cos it was too cold for the other family. It even snowed the day after.

      Hi SarChar,

We will be in Orlando from 18 Nov to 5 Dec, then will take the 3-Night Bahamian Cruise on Disney Dream. Will probably spend another 3 nights in Miami before leaving for Singapore on 11 Dec.

I have done all my dining reservations and is waiting to book the golf tee time for my DH and DS and as well as the FPP.
      Hello Publica,

I will be in Las Vegas for 5 days before flying into Orlando, 5 days at USS/IOA before WDW stay. I have seen some pictures of the Cruise. Nice. Enjoy!

I hope I can get Anna & Elsa FPP at a good time slot.
