@ Activemum - We have plans to visit Las Vegas and New York too. How do you plan your route? Did you do Las Vegas, New York followed by Orlando as your last stop?

    • RE: In-law problems?

We will have steamboat 1 wk earlier at my parents’ and then on the eve with DH’s family. My mum will still prepare a separate reunion dinner with her sons/wives on the eve.

The 1st yr after marriage, my SIL’s (brother’s wife) mum thought her daughter (my SIL) would still eat with her (SIL mum) on the eve. My mum was ok with the idea but my DH said NO. I also dont think my parents should be alone on the eve. If my mum didnt do it the 1st year, my parents would be having reunion dinner ALONE for the rest of their lives. Call me old fashion!

    • RE: Kids say the darnest things...

DD1 has been invited to several play dates to her classmates' houses after SA2 exam. I told her she is not to plan any party with her classmates during school holidays.

DD1: I cant help it. I am selling books now.
ME: what books? I didnt know you are doing part-time :nunchuk:
      DH: hahahahah
ME: ok what am I missing here?
DH: She means she is \"popular\" (book store).
ME: so clever with lame answers.

May I check for End Nov/Early Dec, what types of clothes should we bring to Taiwan? (Taichung, Cing JIng, Hua Lian, Taipei area).

      TIA.
Will need winter clothes. CingJing can be quite cold and if there is rain, it will be COLD. Are you going to HeHuanShan from CJ to Hualien? I was there 1st wk of Dec 2012. Very cold and the next day even snowed!

      @dolphinsiah

I plan to fly out on 28 Nov 2014 and flying back on 20th Dec. Will stay 14-15 days in Orlando. I may stay up to 7 days in either (Japan & New York) or Manchester depending on where we transit.

We havent book anything yet…in dilemma now as there are different promotions at different periods.

      I am super excited!!!
I know my relationship with my girl will go from bad to worst as I \"coach\" her to prepare for Pri6 after SA2. She keeps telling me \"Mummy, plenty of time....chill....\"

I am so freaking out :scared:

That's why I don't coach my dd at all. Also can't coach laSure ruin our relationship

Any comment from me she will take it very personally and start crying and say I'm not encouraging. Super sensitive but ONLY towards me :frustrated:

My job is to nag her to speed up because she tends to procrastinate a lot. And that's already putting a strain on our relationship. Can't do more than that

You are not alone. I think most mothers will experience that 😓
How not to coach them?! Cant depend on school and tuition (only 2h per subject per week)!

After last wk PSLE marking week or rather her study week, DD1 told me she has a new phobia ...called \"mama phobia\" :stompfeet:

So we have agreed to let her take a break for TWO days this wkend

This Nov-Dec - we will stay focus...we plan to work on her compositions/spelling. Usually for compositions tests, we often find ourselves busy that wk or no time to give her guidelines on her compo.

For Airport to Taipei City transfer, you can contact

Ms Zhou at [email protected] She will arrange a driver to pick you up. Very efficient. On the return trip, she will confirm the booking on whatsapp.

The rate is only NT800 each way or NT850 if you need the driver to hold up a name sign at arrival lobby. From city to airport is also NT800 for 2 of us. I think if you have 2 little kids, the price should be the same.
