You should try Starry at Cingjing. We loved it there and they have heater blanket.

    • RE: Neighbour from Hell

I know this block…most of the people came from nearby 1 room flats which were demolished some 10 yrs ago. I almost wanted to buy a 5 room flat there.

The unit I wanted to buy wasnt done up at all. I was shocked to see a unit without kitchen cabinet. The stove was on the floor. Just mattress on the floor without bedframe. No furniture.

The whole level was really messy. Lift lobby has cabinets or old furniture along the cooridoor. I didnt buy that unit because of their neigbour. Neighbor woman with 3 or 4 kids all on the floor and sofa with their flat door open, sleeping or screaming for no reason.

I just said sorry to the housing agent and told him the environment wasnt suitable for my little girl. We are not snob, okie…count myself lucky!

    • RE: Kids say the darnest things...

My girl happily told me she has improved her CA2 chinese short story multiple choice questions.

DD: I only got 2 wrong this time.
      Me: Wow! Well done!
DH: Ya...ya not bad (grin grin)
      Me: GIVE ME THE PAPER!

Only 3 questions and 2 are wrong!

DD: Its an improvement already. Last paper...all wrong! :spank:

really only 3 rooms of each type? I didnt realise that...

For my last trip in Nov, I have no choice but to book at Taipei branch III. Branch II wasnt too bad, just not as happening as XMD. Then in Dec stay, I was KS! I booked at Agoda. It was almost 25% more expensive.

For Cityinn Plus - need to book 3 months ahead on 1st day of the month at 9am sharp.

If you are going to travel in Dec (any date), you must book 1st Sept 9am sharp. 10min later as you enter login and password, the rooms will be gone already.

The family room is decent size and the location is good if you want to stay in XMD. Overall very pleased with Cityinn Plus.

This Japanese lady has a facebook Gingerbread Cottage. My favorite is financier and her cupcakes. Her cupcakes are healthy version and not very sweet. Good for small children.

I ordered this from a Japanese lady who baked this at home in Sengkang. Very pretty birthday cake for DD2 and all the kids were excited about it.

The cake topper and castle towers are mine, from an earlier birthday cake for DD1. But you can easily find these cake topper on ebay or Amazon.

If you are going to change a lot of Taiwan money, you can check out DBS Taiwan. There are a few branches in Taipei. It has the best exchange rate.

You can buy SIM card from 7 eleven shop in Taiwan. It will require passport to buy this SIM card. I find it more than sufficient during our 16 days trip and inexpensive.

There is really no need to buy package SIM card at airport unless you need to use data plan on the go.

Free WIFI is available in all hotels.

I have no choice but to apply early because I work Europe and USA markets. I have 2 Europeans and 3 USA colleagues on my team. I am the only ASIAN. Its thanksgiving period for USA and then Xmas year end period for Europe!
