RE: Jack Neo Saga
Oh now JN said in the newspapers that he may make a film based on his affairs?
He said it’s not to make money but to advise spouses of marital affairs? Hmm, yah right. -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
Thanks, minnie. Yes my agency confirmed it too.
Now do you think it’s advisable to do so? Will my current maid badmouth us? Going to choose a different nationality though. -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
Minnie, but it’s possible because you have 2 children/elderly + children? Right now, we only have a toddler at home so MOM may not allow us 2 maids at any one time.

RE: All About Full-Time Maids
Dinah, I’m sure her reasons are not real for wanting to go back. I’m sure she would be back in Singapore very soon.
Within these 6 months, she has already bought so many pairs of footwear as well jewellery. So I don’t think it’s because of the sons. But really, the reason is not important to me anymore.
Now my question is if it’s possible to have 2 maids in the house for a couple of weeks so that the old one can train the new one? I brought it up with my current maid and she said she heard (see? She knows of so many things!) we can’t have 2 maids in the house. I also understand this ruling but it’s only for a transfer period. Is that possible? -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
Heh, I didn’t know maids are under warranty.
She claimed her mom passed away in Dec (I posted about it here) and then she already wanted to go back. But she was still repaying her loan.
Come May when her loan is finished, that’s when she wants to go back (we expected this coming when we declined for her to go back in Dec).
lovekidsverymuch, as I said, I think she dislikes me nitpicking on her lack of quality of housework. And she prefers to work in a household when she can be alone at home, with very little supervision.
So as Dinah pointed out, I have a right to not pay for her tickets then? But carebear said I have to pay? So do I? -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
In any case, my maid now wants us to send her back home.
I am very open person so I chose to talk to her just now. I asked her she is being so slipshod when herd I am trying my best to be a good employer. I said I may not be the best but I am not mean to her too. I asked her if there is anything which she is particularly bring unahppy or upset about. That’s when she told mr she wants to go back to agency after the loan. She quoted missing her sons (she is divorcee). I doubt so cause she told m mum once she wanted to change employer because she prefers families with school going children so that she can have more alone time I guess since I am sahm. I believe she is just using her sons as excuse to change employer.
Whatever. We have expected her to want to leave ever since my mum told us that.
We must pay for her air ticket, right? -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
My maid is also 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Do not wash things properly. Creases on clothes. But I’ve told her off already, when I happen to see them.
Always asked to close toilet door because curious baby and dogs will go sniff and play with the cleaning agents. Always forget.
Sigh. -

hquek:
ha ha. She didn't do it on purpose. She didn't see my girl walked into the storeroom and she closed the door. No malice but total carelessness.
Locked your girl in the storeroom???? :!: :!: can develop claustrophobia leh. Tell her that this is considered unlawful (wrongful confinement) and can report police hor.madinked:
She has since locked my girl in the storeroom, forgot to lock my car door but we never even punished or scolded her at all.
Seems like this girl needs memory booster.
