They will email us the worksheets which we need to print out. Also sent us the answers for us to mark. For compo, we will scan and email to them. Actually I prefer online lessons. Save the trouble of travelling. So far, happy with the arrangement.
Totally agree with you. My kid is also in FLS centre. I have received lesson 18 pre recorded lesson. For lesson 17 compo lesson, it was an oral class. In the video, they expect parents to go through the oral with the kid, then record the oral answer and send to the teacher. Sigh... just our luck to meet such unethical tuition centre. Is there any way we can complain about this tuition centre to the authority?
Pls share your contact on other chinese enrichment centres. I would like to sign up others but could not find much comments on other centre.
How is Wang laoshi, Hua Language? They seem popular too, but i dunno how they handle the situation during CB.[/quote]

RE: Experiences with Home Based Learning
Am glad they ended HBL. My P2 girl is not tech savvy enough and will constantly need my attention. Maybe it’s just my girl.
During this period, she carried on with her online live tuition. Easier for the tuition. They mailed us the hardcopy worksheets. After the tuition, we just scanned and emailed the completed worksheet to them. Maybe MOE can learn from this.
For the school, very troublesome. Need to complete assignments in SLS and and also do the hardcopy worksheets. Worse, need to mark the worksheet and then indicate in the system whether questions were answered correctly. Faint! -

I actually prefer online live classes. Save the trouble of travelling. I can listen in on her lesson. She cannot chit chat with friends and is more focused. Cons is must email completed worksheets to teacher but can live with that la…

RE: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates
Yesterday, there were 10 unlinked local cases! Why still so many despite the CB?
Wonder if enrichment centres can open on 2 June. My girl’s ballet exam has been delayed if the CB. Haizz… -

Been a few days, community cases still hovering around 10. If the cases does not go to low single digit, CB may be extended.

Earlier on, already have dormitory cases. Could the authorities have acted faster and do more to prevent or reduce infection in dormitories. Maybe no need the CB today??
I guess for the dorms cases, they living very near to each other and at outside they usually in groups at rest days? so started with one is enough?

Even when we were advised not to wear mask if healthy, I still wore when picking up my children from school and during peak hours on the train. I think I will continue to do that.
think at least when using thd public transport coz close to each other. -

You raised one of my concerns. Much resources was spent not on local community bec new cases popping up here and there, though numbers are small.
With so many isolation facilities being set up, is this a sign that the crisis is far from being over?
Just keep yourself safe with mask, safe distancing & washing. I know it’s hard but just don’t be anxious or panic coz it doesn’t help us to handle our own situation with objectivity. Hoping the WHO consolidation of vaccine for all accessibility will come faster.
Today, local community cases increased again. If the number does not fall to single digit, CB cannot be shortened or may even be extended... -

7 are S/PR. What are the total community cases?
Our hopes came to light!
Today’s FW cases gone further down to 628. Locals now in single-digit of number 7. We keep cooperating reduce unnecessary outing & cut COVID spread completely next week? Hope the elderlies are well cared for & no fatalities.
I’m sure our govt, together with ASEAN officials working towards restoring economic activities. Let’s pray we win over COVID enemy & regain our life back.

I find surgical mask more comfortable. Cloth type more stuffy.

Tapping on everyone's brains here. For school kids in non aircon classrooms wearing masks the whole day, is a 3 ply surgical mask or cloth mask more comfy? Somehow I feel the surgical mask is not breathable and perspiration accumulates more than a cotton cloth mask which is absorbent. For disposable underwears for example, cotton is more comfy than viscose. So i am wondering which mask will be more comfy for kids to wear to school?
I perspire a lot and I like to use the reusable mask bec I can wash it after use.
