May I ask is it common to follow up calls to school after submitting waiting list and after phase 2C?

      Hi sillygal_1608,

i guess there's no hard and fast rule and its up to the individual on whether you wish to call the school periodically to check. for me, l I tried calling up before i apply for 2CS (with a glimmer of hope) and got disappointed.

I will try calling again perhaps in NOV with another glimmer of hope.

I guess if u keep calling the sch will \"remember\" u and maybe can skip a few queue numbers? Just an assumption.

    • RE: 2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

This morning i visited 2 schools to be placed on waitlist. The 1st school said only mid Oct then they take in names for waitlist. As now all no vacancies. I asked politely then why my neighbour can apply to be on waitlist for "so and so schs" after phase 2C ends (which is true), the sch said this is their management decision.

2nd school i went also dun allowed waitlist. Tell me to starts sch in XX sch first then transfer out, as now no vacancy anyway. The waitlist for all levels are all full. The admin told me to go to their sch website to download a form, fill up then submit. And he said must inform XX sch now we wanna transfer. I said she yet to start sch only in 2019 then start p1. He said must ask if XX sch allowed the time lapse. What rubbish.

Since there is no specific "waitlist" thread to discuss, I post this here for help. Anyone encountered such closed doors too? Or the schools u asked to be placed on waitlist have a form for u to gladly fill up?

Anyone know when can we register ourselves under the waiting list. Is it after 2C registration is over or after the result for 2C is out?

Waiting list is different from transfer (dunno why u post under Transfer thread).

For waitlist, u can apply immediately after 2C balloting result is out.
She just whatsapped me again saying she will pay me back within 1 year and with 10% interest. If she can sell her land in Texas that she bought through Walton land banking then she can pay me back earlier. But I thought Walton already went bankrupt?

ngl2010, talk is cheap. nothing is concrete. Why don't she sells the land in Texas and fund herself that way. Isn't it a much better option?

Besides, if need to loose this friend....be it. You still have a good friend - which is your DH.

Walton bankrupt already arh? omg thanks to a fren I bought little there more than 10 yrs ago ..anyway I never follow up long time already, can so easily sell mah even if not bankrupt?
I also dunno bankrupt already. I used to have an acquaintance working there, visited their office 12yrs ago once at One Fullerton there near Merlion. Very posh had many tables and chairs with phones. Many individual personal offices for Managers or Team leaders. What happened? Why land banking will go down hill? That's not what they promised.

Such friend better don’t want. Tell her that MLM is illegal in Spore. And your funds are all locked up in investments. No more available liquid cash. Then stop receiving her calls. Delete her from whatsapp. Sometimes u have to be firm, else the losing end is yourself. Don’t let pple take advantage of u.
